Olé clearly got a lot of work to do there

Nice guy but not sure he’s up to it and Dier might be a decent buy for him

Am I the only one thinking that Llorente being on 100K a week is fully reasonable?

He's a world champion, European champion and multi-time champion of Italy and the Europa League. His resume should allow him a reasonable wage. And with Kane being on 200k a week and Son on 150k a week it wasn't like he was stealing a higher living than the two guys ahead of him in the pecking order.
I like him but 100k is a lot of money. I'd rather we try to bring in someone younger who can contribute more in the long term

Kane
Dele Son
Lo Celso
Winks - NDombele

That could definitely work. As could Lo Celso in Son's position and Eriksen or an Eriksen type player in the central Lo Celso role.

It wouldn't have much width so the need for zippy fullbacks would be required so teams can't squeeze us in the middle. Atal and Sessegnon long term would be class.

Lo Celso is a funny one. I'm a fan but I can't see where we will get that Eriksen creativity from as he strikes me as more of a finisher than a provider. We really do need to make a move for him though as he does look the part initially in this game and from what I've seen of him previously.

Dele has been less effective out on the left than when he's been played in the centre as a no 10 ( and Poch cannot play him there whilst Eriksen is here)

Dele is a different player than Eriksen but with Lo Celso, Winks and Ndomble all capable of passing balls through from cm we would not lack for creativity.

Would also mean that an upgrade in full backs to speedier more creative types isn't essential this TW - upgrade may be desirable but not essential.

A lesser known Springsteen track.

I’d be happy if our summer business was..

In
Lo Celso or Fernandes
Ndombele
Sessegnon
Bowen
New right back

Out
Trippier or Aurier
Wanyama
Lamela
NKoudou
Onomah
Janssen
Eriksen - only for the right price

Bruno Fernandes looks 🔥
Has an extremely good shot & strikes with confidence. His technical abilities seem to be quite good too.
Also he's taking great freekicks, something we completely lack, especially when Eriksen leaves.

Not sure Dier improves United at all.

Especially not their starting eleven. He's probably better than Phil Jones as a centre half so a nice place on their bench but he isn't better than Bailly and he isn't better than Lindelof.

Big difference is his winning mentality and prepared to be a hard man - would be a big upgrade on pretty much anyone they have at CB or cm right now. The likes of Pogba and Jones are all flakey sometimes up for it sometimes not.

Over the next 12 months or so I can see Skipp taking Dier s place but next season may be too soon, so I wouldn't hurry to sell Dier now

His winning mentality?

By that I assume you mean of note, as we have signed a youngster already have we not?

But if we get to mid-July and have signed no one of note that would be pathetic.

Our club need to decide if it wants to be taken seriously, it really does.

We got away with it last seasom amd nearly pulled off the greatest illusion ever but it cannot be sustained with our model of the last 3 years let alone the last 18 months.

Yes that's what I mean mate.

In which position though?.....

Either at CB or CM. I think Dier is incredibly underrated, he was one of our best players during the Leicester season and I don't think he has gone backwards, he just needs a run of games, he is a quality player and a leader on the pitch, should be our captain but yet again it's an example of a quality player being overlooked.

Would be a huge mistake letting him go imo.

Remember battle of the bridge as an example

Then compare it to Manu collapsing in most of their games after Ole appointed - and they had no excuses for tiredness due to wc

I think that shows his lack of winning mentality if anything.

It showed petulance and stupidity.

Considering that was over 3 years ago and he has shown zero signs of improvement - I would say his mentality isn't one of his greatest strengths.

He's a good utility player. Nothing more. Don't think he's good enough to start for any team in the top 6 (Not including Woolwich as we'd never sell to them) - not the greatest right back, a decent centre back (Fourth best here) and an okay defensive midfielder if partnered with someone who's good enough to do 2 jobs for him.
