Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Poch took time out before becoming a manager to get an MBA so whilst he doesn't have Levy's practical experience of finance he's perfectly capable of understanding Spurs financial situation.

Not sure we are regressing but certainly true we want some reinforcements, and I think Levy knows that too - in order to make the £1bn investment in stadium and training facilities produce big money he needs to get lots of paying spectators and good runs in CL so buying a few players is a business necessity. That's why we will buy this TW

We had more losses in the league this year than the last two seasons combined and we barely scraped into the top four, we are regressing, there is absolutely no doubt about it.

We have a squad that is also getting older as well and will soon need some of its main components replacing (Verts, Toby for example.)

I admire your optimism mate and whilst I think Levy is very good at making money you only have to look at some of his past decisions from the footballing side of things to know that he isn't the best in that regard.

I don't even think he knew Poch would turn out to be as good as he is, I think it is crucial that we buy but Levy seems stuck in the past in regards to fees and transfers, it's his weak spot, that's why we worked better under a DOF imo.

It will make money, if it is full.

If Levy lets the club go into a freefall that costs the manager and the top players, including a talisman like Kane, what will attendances be?

I think he's savvy enough to realise he has a golden opportunity to deliver the success to keep punters happy and ENIC happy. And happy paying punters are ultimately what keeps everyone happy. Especially for sales of tickets, merchandise and match day package.

Hope you're right mate.

You don't build a multi million dollar stadium and training ground and then not fill it with talented players.

It's not so simple. Arse have shown that a new stadium and pretty good training facilities doesn't equate to having a top team. Since they moved into that stadium year on year their team has got worse and worse with their best players leaving and being replaced with inferior ones

I also want to add, I think some people find it hard to criticise Levy because they feel like doing so is an insult to the club in general because of him building the stadium and of how far we have come under ENIC.

I would say it's a mistake to view things like that, dangerous actually because Levy and ENIC are not Tottenham Hotspur FC, we have to challenge them so they don't become complacent.

Lo Celso going to United would either confirm Bruno Fernandes to Spurs or we'll put some of that money towards paying Eriksen a new contract.

He is 33/1 to join United though. So if you feel like it's possible, go win yourself some money.

4/9 to join us now though. Which are better odds then he was yesterday

Poch completed a MBA? Did not know that.

He’s a wise bloke
