Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ali Gold just posted a video update and spoke on Reguilon.

He said LB "isn't a priority" but "the club really likes him" and "I wouldn't be stunned if they made a move".

The caveat....it'd have to be another surprising value deal. He's been rumored around 20-25m.

Closed out on the topic with "keep an eye on it".

Why are people still slagging off the club when we signed a first team player yesterday in a position we desperately needed?

:mourwhat:
Listen I think our business has been good so far, although let's not pretend that most of us feel like other signings are still needed.
That signingless summer pinned us back while everyone else was out adding to their club.

(Also I'm really just joking)....

If he’s been on loan at sevilla then I wouldn’t be surprised if Madrid are open to us loaning with the option of buying him in 12 months time. If they want rid of him of course.

Don't want to get my hopes up because that is a very restrained report in which Gold seems to be basically saying we won't sign him (and with our luck we would sign him and still play Davies ahead of him) but that would be a great signing.

Allows Davies to be a squad player where he belongs, gives us the flexibility to actually use our LB as more than just a warm body and the player is young so would be a long term solution. It also shows a little ambition as well which would be a good sign.

The part that gives me hope is that Gold usually doesn't hesitate to say it's not going to happen. He never said that here. He left the door wide open on this one.

Gold also mentioned this guy as a striker we were "monitoring"

Thanks for sharing. From my take of watching that with the music on mute:

Good: Plenty strong. He was bullying defenders all over the place. Seems like a bit of a cunt. Also has some good tekkers for a big guy.

Bad: Fluffed a lot of easy chances. Almost like he would be better off playing along side Kane rather than instead of him.

The part that gives me concern is that they like him but want a deal. I hate hearing that any time because if you like the player than pay what is he worth, but especially with Spurs that seems like a Levy special where we miss out on a talented player because he acts like a cunt trying to shave off an extra million.

Hopefully your hope beats out my pessimism because it would be a very good addition to our squad.

They're the figures being mentioned here, but in euros, not pounds, so it would be £17-22 million. I'd say that's value, he's an excellent player.

Again, that's been mentioned in Spain, but by the less-than-reliable fichajes.net rumours site

Marca reckon Benfica are in pole with Napoli, Wolfsburg, Brighton and Leipzig also in the frame
