A lot of the players arent good enough. Not much point blamimg them for that. Blame Levy for not replacing them and Mourinho for continually picking them.

It really shouldn't be though and that is no disrespect to Deeney intended.

If we have to descend to that level it would in my opinion cement us right in the category of a nothing team. It matters not a jot if Deeney came in and scored a few goals.

Perceptively and just in terms of cosmetics it would be an appalling signing.

If this club cannot find a young up and coming striker who wants to learn from but also push Kane, or a striker in his late 20s who wants to do similar then we deserve the mid-table status you talk of..

I repeat no disrespect to Deeney intended but we are not yet Burnley or West Ham or it seems worse.

Maybe just maybe they aren’t as good as we think they are.
 
If we are going to keep playing some kind of 4-4-2, I think Sørloth as a partner to Kane up top could make sense. It would certainly be a much more sensible signing than an older player like Deeney and Dost, IF he is to play regularly.

Sørloth has shown he can score goals, if he is provided with support and confidence. He is big and strong, capable of giving PL defenders a proper fight, capable of winning long balls and creating space for Kane, and he has decent pace.

The point of a management structure is that they get the most out of the staff and take responsibility for results.

If players are toxic then we should be getting rid of them(much like when Poch started with us).

Trouble is Levy wants top dollar for our cast offs and gets our new signings from that weird aisle in Lidl that sells overalls and scooters

It's never as simple as players need to play to their level.

There is a reality to the level these players are at and to be honest I don't think they are playing that far from it.

The attacking band behind Kane are all, to various degrees, inconsistent with basic elements of the game such as close control or short passing. Compare that to the likes of Salah, Mane and Firmino and they really are worlds apart.

I agree that it's vital we get Bergy, GLC and Tanguy into the first XI as soon as possible as they are 3 of our most technical players and will make us a more reliable and cohesive attacking threat.

I know he is cheap and old but I just wish we end all this and just sign someone (apart from Deeney)and if he is the one then let's go for it

Trabzonspor wants €15M. Crystal Place wants €15M. That's €30 milion euro's for a wild card. But I agree, better option than King, Deeney and Das Boot.
