Our number one target is Hojbjerg FFS, (he's not a DM and not even a great CM) and you are baulking at Brozovic (who is primarily a 6/DM who can play other cm positions) ?

Brozovic wouldn't be my first choice, but I don't think there are many 6's out there who would be a better fit in terms of what we need to get the best out the likes of Lo Celso and Ndombele - he does/did a similar job for Croatia between Modric and Rakatic.

This is entirely the point you are arguing against many of us re Ndombele, also re Ndombele and a DM.

Ndombele is not a dynamic busy cunt, but he isn't the lazy useless lump you and some others are portraying him as, and he is an extremely talented midfielder, what we need is a manager and a set up that gets the best out of it.

If someone like Brozovic allows us/Mourinho to do that, then that's smart recruitment.
Brozovic is apparently really into fighting police (and verbally assaulting police & nurses since yesterday) and was convicted of drunk driving just last month so he'll fit right into the culture of the squad as well. He, Aurier & Hugo will be best friends.

For real though; Brozovic would INSTANTLY be our best midfielders. Yet people want the rolling foie gras that is Ndombele over him despite being our worst flop EVER by some distance.

Yet another out-of-home misadventure risks costing Marcelo #Brozovic dear. The Croatian is no longer incedible for # Inter, who works on the purchase of 2 midfielders. For the 1992 class, however, there are plenty of admirers in the Premier League. #calciomercato

Gazzetta dello Sport - Marcelo Brozovic is at risk of leaving Inter. The board has grown tired of Croatian off-field problems.

Sounds like a good time to see if we can get him for 50 million.

If we are lucky he might be able to play 4-5 games for us between court appearance and jail time.

This may be the case but his agent has been trying to get him a move to the premier league for years. I swear every window for about the last 5/6 years he is linked to coming to England. Therefore I doubt there’s anything in the rumours linking him to us, it’s just his agent trying to get him his move.

Say we do get Skrinair in and Ndombele goes. Who is our best defensive partnership then, and do we look to move someone on?

I’d say Alderweireld and Skrinair.

I think it would leave us needing to buy a RB, CDM, CAM and ST.

Would rather swap him for 2 decent full backs to be honest. Would Skriniar make that much of a difference at the back? Last few games we’ve been looking tight and have what 4 centre halves already including Dier and overlooking Foyth

So Inter can’t be arsed with him so we can!

Here’s a look at some of the deals which might, on the face of it, make sense for both clubs...

If it was Skriniar they wanted, what could Spurs offer Inter? Depth is the answer. Juan Foyth has barely had a look-in and seems suited for neither an attacking right-back nor a solid centre-back role, but playing the hybrid right of three in middle could be ideal.

He’s still being tracked by Barcelona and the big teams may try a low-risk gamble, but Foyth alone isn’t going to cut it for Spurs.

Throw in Davinson Sanchez, too, in a two-for-one deal sweetened with a little cash, and Inter might listen.

With Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni and Diego Godin, Inter have talented and committed defenders, but Sanchez could add a little more class on the ball and a little more longevity to how long the backline can stay together.

I’d be annoyed if Sanchez went, there’s definitely a player in there and he was doing well paired with Toby at the end of the season
