I'm not deciding in who we will spend. But it wouldn't be in a player like Coutinho if we have the choice. Guy was rejected for the worst Barça in the decade and Bayern didn't want him. That must say something.
Pretty sure we could find better prospects or experienced players for the amount we would pay for him. Even Willian, if he wasn't the cunt he is, would be a better option.
They spend big on talented player though, not luxury player who need way too much of the ball to produce to little and complain when they are played in their best position because it means that they don't get to control the ball the whole game.
If we can get Coutinho on a cut rate deal with the majority of his wages covered and him on a good attitude understanding that he will not be the main player with the ball, will not be the player controlling the game and will be used out wide more than in the middle fine.
But paying big money for Coutinho to be a big ball hogging #10 who doesn't pass near enough, thinks he is an elite level talent and won't out in a single tackle that is an easy pass.

We've been linked with Watkins in the past, I believe (same with Eze)
But I always got the impression most of those links were Pochs interests as opposed to the clubs - hence why Eze links (and Watkins aswell) have mostly died in the last two transfer windows.
