That didn't stop us buying Sessegnon

Oh wait :mourcheeks:

To be fair, they are the same age and Sessegnon was a whole lot more impressive than Aarons has ever shown to be in the Championship.

Both were pretty average in the Premier League though.

I'd still sign Aarons - but he's absolutely no where near Aurier in terms of being a starting Premier League right back for Spurs, so it'd just mean more development for him whilst we actually need to upgrade Aurier (With 3 more positions more important)

I like Aarons. He has pace, he can run up and down the right side all day, decent with the ball. All that's missing is some defensive nous but he will gain that the more he plays. I thought he was excellent in the championship

Most names being suggested for right back are young and play abroad. We can't be sure any of them are ready to play in the PL. They will also need time to adapt. I'm sure Mourinho will want to buy experience and that's why we were strongly linked with Meunier and imo if he doesn't get the experience he will just keep Aurier

I watch football, too.
Your opinion is just that..an opinion.
And you often talk nonsense as you did in a recent exchange with me.
And just as matter of fact I think DM is an important position so your opinion is wrong.

Oh yeah - when you said you've never seen anyone in a Spurs shirt lose their marker or fail to track an opponents run (except Ndombele). I remember that classic.

He was fine in the Championship - but so was Sessegnon (in fact, Sessegnon was better) and we've seen how much development he needs.

Again, got no issue with signing Aarons, but he wouldn't be first choice, simply someone we can look to develop. Therefore, is there any point signing him? When we need someone who's an upgrade on Aurier? Unless we can sell Aurier and KWP and bring in two right backs.
