You like him but has his attitude and behavior improved since the issues during his two loans? You do have to question the wisdom of bringing back a kid tha didn't make it with you and still hasn't 'made it'. And changing of environments is very important in behavioral change. Plus, high profile returnees like Pogba had already made a name for himself in real games and not midtable affairs in lower leagues. Just a thought.

By the sound of it, we may (or may not) have put in a £1m bid last year for an unknown 16yr old who at the time had played just a handful of games (if he played any) for one of the weakest sides in the Championship. I don't have an issue with that. Move along people, nothing to see here.
We have plenty of real shit to be mad at Levy at we certainly don't need to make anything up.

FUCK. Reading that just reminded me that we let City sell Sancho to Dortmund rather than us despite holding all the cards re: selling them Walker that window.

That fucking slaphead, I swear.
I don't think we had the negotiating position then that you're making out. They wanted Walker but they're Citeh, they weren't desperate for him. They signed Danilo in the same window because they obviously weren't sure they would want to meet Levy's demands. We were lucky we got what we did for Walker and didn't get stuck with Chelsea swooping in later to pay 70% our asking price for a player who was well and truly fucked off and out right striking.

Weren't there reports last year of Bournemouth wanting £70m for him based on the Maguire sale?

£35m seems fair for a homegrown CB who is 25.
Difference between being the the PL and being relegated from the PL during COVID. They can't afford not to sell, and everyone knows it.

What's the saying, when there's blood in the streets buy land? There's going to be a lot of fire sales in the next month.
