Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The selling side of things is gonna be such a ball-ache (see C19).... In simple terms:

Bigger/richer clubs: We have no-one for sale that they'd be interested in buying.
Similar level clubs in other leagues: We'll have very few players for sale that would interest them anyway... Likely to be less cash rich than their EPL counterparts and thus probably not worth us taking a sizeable hit on the fees anyway (See e.g. Dele... Or even players in the 20m bracket e.g. Lamela)
Lesser/poorer clubs: Best chance of us shifting the bulk of our deadwood, but equally even more likely to be skint than we are.
Good point.
Will undoubtedly be a very tricky transfer window. I’d like to think we are in a slightly better position than some, but as you say, shifting some of the deadwood will be some task.

The days of a big time fee for him have gone.... He's agitated for a move and come up empty on a couple of occasions now. The hype has moved on and he's not been great this season.
The inconsistency of the man is the turn off. 4 premier league goals this season is very poor, regardless of the players around him. He’ll be 28 in November, and I think we should direct our attention elsewhere.

But he would still cost £40m or something like that, which we are never gonna spend on a forward this summer.. We've got other priorities.

What I can see happen though is Willian on a free, which gives us Son, Bergwijn, Lucas, possibly Lamela and Willian as options.

Ultimately I don't think it's a position of need... Especially if Lucas & Lamela are both staying.... I'd be furious if we spend 40m or even uber-wages on Willian when we could (should?) be spending biggest at DM.

Ahh' .......The Messi analogy.

Bill Madrid Bill Madrid . I've chalked another off your bingo card. One more for a line.
He’s an absolute parody, mate

Paid ENIC bot averaging 150-170 posts on here daily with pro-Levy excrement of how we’re punching above our weight bollocks, should be happy with what we have and how shitters like Winks are more than good enough to be part of our future 11. Shameful scenes

Mourinho: "Are we going to buy 10 players? No. Are we going to buy players for £100m? No. We're going to improve. I enjoy working with Steve [Hitchen - chief scout]. We're very connected with Mr Levy and the board and we're going to do what's possible."
@AlasdairGold

Very sad to hear yet expected

If we start the season with Sissoko and Winks at CM again Hitchen and his crew should be fired on the spot

I just read we are being linked with llorente. He was useless the first time round. Now he is older slower why would we want him. Why can't I read that we are signing jovic ,Klosterman and Zakaria. Not Llorente and Hojbjerg.Just a little hope of please

Same. But the first quote from the press conf where he says that he doesn't know if the new players will be in the club when pre season starts or not will obviously be the one that draws attention.

Which is really a nothing quote. Obviously a manager/coach doesn't know the exact status of transfers unless he's the one negotiating them.

6:10 the guy asked him 'Is the team going to be similar with a few tweeks?' 'He says lets see, I don't know'
Of course that will grab attention, it's certainly got my attention.
It kind of suggests to me he does want wholesale changes but doesn't know if he will get the players he wants.

We need a striker to rotate with/play backup to Kane. We all know that. Right now we are linked with Callum Wilson. I would however like to present an alternative.

Sebastian Andersson, currently at Union Berlin.
He stands at 6ft2, is good with his head and in the box. He has one year left on his contract with Union Berlin and has 12 goals and 3 assists in the Bundesliga. His buyout clause is 5 million euros. I'd describe his playing style as a younger, more agile Llorente.

He's also being linked with Lille, Celtic, Schalke and Valencia.

Not too sold on a 29 year old with only 1 year of experience on a semi decent level.

He's not even ordinary for his country where he has competition from bang average players. Yes, Isak might be the exception.
