would argue if you replaced Defoe with Berbatov I’d back the first team.

However what this exercise really did was make me depressed to think of starting names in the current lineup: Aurier, Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Sissoko, Winks Etc - most of whom I really like but wouldn’t get a sniff in either of those teams!!

The second team has a better defence (King is better than Alderweireld and Vertonghen is better than Woodgate. Walker is better than Hutton. Rose at his peak was better than Assou-Ekotto but the defence isn't bad for having him in it).

And the second teams attack pisses all over the first teams. Bale and Kane ffs. The other has Jermain Defoe and Aaron Lennon. Yes, I loved them both. They don't compare.

The only players who get in the second team from the first one are Lloris, Rose, Eriksen and Son (to replace Friedel, Ekotto, VDV and Lucas).

You could probably argue Parker but if this is peak - then Sandro is better.
 
Fabrizio Romano reporting that Tottenham and Inter are now opening some form of negotiation for Ndombele. Very sad how this move has turned out.
 
Wouldn’t want anything other than Škriniar or Brozovic. I’d imagine Mou has something specific in mind from Inter, since all indications have been that Spurs are not interested in selling Ndombele.
