If Bale has a knock, four weeks before his first game sounds reasonable as the last game before the national team break will be in just two weeks. The break is two weeks so West Ham October 17th in four weeks could be his first game.

I hope I'm not missing any games and I hope that Bale actually doesn't have a knock.

It has two by-lines, there'll be some truth in it, at least as the Marca editor is concerned.

Contrary to popular belief, hacks don't make up stories. If they put their names to complete bullshit, they get warned then sacked, simple as that.

If you see "Mailsport" or somesuch as a byline it means they've cribbed it from the internet and want to fill some (cyber-)space. If they put a name to it it means the journo in question has sold the story to the editor, who will have asked them straight off "Where does this come from?"

Miguel Angel Lara has worked at Marca for 24 years, Juan Ignacio García Ochoa for 10. You don't stay that long at Spain's biggest selling paper if your some chancer
But is it possible that they are bitter about Bale and his behaviour so what better than to claim that Spurs are signing an injured Bale who will be out for 4 weeks. That deflates Spurs fans and embarasses Bale on his big return to Spurs and the PL

That's what I'm hoping anyway. Marca is the propaganda arm of Real Madrid

It really isn't. Do you live in Spain or speak Spanish? Do you read Marca regularly?

It's extremely even-handed, given that it's obviously based in Madrid.

The 'out for 4 weeks' news isn't really news as everyone was mentioning it yesterday.
