give an inch take a mile comes to mind, you’re getting power drunk thinking we will sign another DM, give it a rest.
No one has said they think we are signing a DM, I just think its funny that some people dont think we should prioritize signing one over a CB as we already have Winks and Sissoko, when the fact we only have Winks and Sissoko is the main reason we should be signing one!

Why do some keep asking for a DM? Hojberg and Sissoko and to an extent Harry Winks are our DM’s , position is filled.
Because none of the existing options are that solid, perhaps? It ain't about quantity but quality. Mou will keep starting Hoj because he's his signing, but IMO Siss does a better job, esp at winning the ball back, but then Hoj is a better passer/ball-handler. Winksy can't be player there, period. So yeah a monster like a Vidal would've been ace, but will have to do without

Kessie (and Bennacer) is better than all those three (Sangare has gone to PSV) and that donkey Rice ( The Outsider The Outsider ) and the good bit is, they want Aurier. That would leave us needing another RB though.

Either way, I'd rather spend 40-50m on Kessie (or Bennacer) than Skriniar.
I've seen bits and pieces of Kessie. Tbh I'd take him too.

Never seen Bennacer. Who does he play for?

Surely considering how shite they are at the back, we can offload D-Rose to Fulham for a few mil and why not add Foyth on loan on top. The players stay in the PL, in London, they get to play week in week out. Spurs get rid of some unwanted & their wages, Foyth can come back if he has a solid season. And Fulham improves straightaway with 2 dudes who are better than the crap they've ve played so far. Win-win-win surely

Yep. I don't think anyone should complain about a transfer window that consisted of Doherty, Hart, Hojbjerg, Hart (doing ok tbf!), Bale, Reguilon and Vinicius.

Adding Skriniar to that would make it a 10/10 window. But regardless, it's easily the best transfer window we've had in many, many years. Some clever, intelligent deals in there too.
I think the most impressive thing of our transfer business is that we have brought in players with PL experience. Hart, Hojbjerg, Doherty, Bale.
Only Reguilon and Vinicius to settle in, but they are quality players. I think Vinicius will need more time to settle, plus if he has limited game time we will need to adjust expectations for him.
Reguilon I've said before will be a top player for us if we let him play to his strengths.

Why do some keep asking for a DM? Hojberg and Sissoko and to an extent Harry Winks are our DM’s , position is filled.

not really.

PEH is a Henderson type of player, watch him play or if you are bored read what saints fans say he is, he is not best sitting in front of the two CB’s rather he is better as a pressing driving player.

Sissoko is not a good passer and in the modern game the player who sits in front of the back two needs to be a top passer.

Winks is a number 8 moved further back, he is a decent passer but not great defensively.

When people say DM in the modern game they mean a player who is positionally good defensively, press resistant and with a good range of passing. Obviously examples are Allen at Everton, Fabinho at Liverpool, Matic at United.

If Skriniar gets done it’s the only position in the team not filled. We can get away with it against most teams but top teams with one of those players will have an advantage in the midfield battle against us.

How many more midfielders do you think we should sign? I don’t want us to be some oil club who can operate without consequence and is able to spend unlimited funds until we strike gold. In just over a year we’ve already bought Lo Celso, Ndembele and Hojbjerg, two of which can play the DM role. Throw in Sissoko, Dier and Winks I feel we’ve got enough bodies to cover that role. That’s a transfer for next summer if no one can fill that role to the standard required

Dafuq. No one is expecting us to sign "bodies".
What this team needs is an expert in that position. To let Lo Celso and Ndombele blossom.

By that logic- why in the world are we signing striker?!?
We have bodies there as well- we have brought in 2 attacking players lately in Bale and Bergwijn. Son can play up top, so can Alli, Lamela, Moura, Sterling from the academy and so on. Yet for some weird reason we are going for additional ST.....

We currently have 1 totally dependable CB in Toby. Sanchez has brainfarts in him, Dier the same. Tanganga is inecperienced and Davies has played very small amount of games as CB. So protection from all-out defensive midfielder like Parker or Gueye or Ndidi would be a massive asset for us. Something that "bodies" such as Sissoko or Winks who cannot read the play and close down the passing routes nor tackle properly just don't offer.

P.S I for one would be perfectly fine in current situation if we'd ship out Sissoko, Alli, Foyth, Rose and channel this money to additional reliable CB + DM.

Fuck Rice, Demiral, Skriniar and all those other nuggets they've mentioned. The one CB you wanna sign if you're Jose and you wanna win something this year? Marquinhos. Period. Obviously won't happen cause he's at PSG on huge wages and they'd only sell him for like 100mil but imagine how class that'd be. Now then we'd be able to compete with the bin dippers.

Add to that a proper good DM like Laimer or Merino and we'd also win the FA Cup & EL.

Dreaming is good right 😂

Leicester sign Fofana.

They're very shrew in the market. Fair play to them.

Agreed...
