And surely the buying club has the right to challenge said valuation. Hence why they negotiate and the selling club doesn't just list the player on Amazon.
Why loan Tanganga when he can play all cup games for us?tanganga needs a loan to a lower prem side but why loan skipp no point
I'd much prefer to sell Dier and Sanchez, bring in 2 replacements to play alongside Tanganga and Rodon.
Not sure they are actually messing us aroundWe complain about Levy with transfers, but Atalanta are acting like the Italian Levy. Just messing us around. Everybody does it.
Liverpool found a way....just pay the agent a bucket of money and it happens.
Have a look at how much they pay agents.
I agree but who is going to want Dier? I think we'll get rid of Sanchez, Sissoko and Winks, hopefully Aurier as well but Dier i just don't see where he goes sadly. Doubt the likes of Villa, Everton would, they already have better centre backs. Not even Leeds or Wolves imo. He seems the type that would happily go abroad but most clubs are skint and i doubt a slow centre back who looks a bit unfit is at the top of their agendas. Why loan Tanganga when he can play all cup games for us?

We have a max of 13 games in ECL, 6 in FA Cup, 5 in EFL Cup.Tanganga on loan I can certainly get behind, I know people rate him well and I do myself, but I rate his attributes more that I do the total sum of them. He is far from a polished player and needs to be starting week in week out.
If any fans complain if we play 'one of our own' promising youngsters in cup games, they need to STFU.And I welcome that, but lets be honest, if we are deemed to exit any cup competition 'too early' then a cross-section of the fanbase will riot and bemoan us playing our B-team.
You're probably both right. Does he count as homegrown in Portuguese league? How about we send him on loan with obligation to buy somewhere? Let's get creative, but get rid of him, and even £10M etc. brought in for him is money that can be spelt elsewhere.I agree but who is going to want Dier? TalkSport are utter shite, don't listen to a word they say.The Europe guy on TalkSPort was making big noise about us signing Vlahovic last night; as if it was all but done...... Has there been some advance there or is that just noise.
Don't think there's anything we can point to yet. If we're serious about it I'm sure Paratici has had conversations with agent, club or player. Fiorentina (judging by the Chiesa deal last year) seem receptive to more staggered payments than other clubs might be, so it might actually be somewhat possible for us financially . Wouldn't surprise me if City, Liverpool or Chelsea moved for Vlahovic this summer, so I'm not getting my hopes up until we see some movement. The Europe guy on TalkSPort was making big noise about us signing Vlahovic last night; as if it was all but done...... Anyone?
What is this bloke's credibility? I vaguely have heard of him.
ECL gives us the beauty of keeping the youngsters with the group, getting used to Nuno's philosophy and implimenting it in competitive football. I see no point in loaning Tanganga or Skipp this season eitherWe have a max of 13 games in ECL, 6 in FA Cup, 5 in EFL Cup.
We should go deep in ECL, and one of EFL/ FA. So there's potential for him to start around 15 Cup games.
In the PL, Aurier wants to leave, and Tomiyasu may take a while to adjust to PL. Tanganga would be preferred to Doherty in games where the LW is pacy. So he should get around 5 starts in the PL too.
That's an estimated 20 starts this season, and he'd be able to use apparently the best facilities in the world to do Nuno's high intensity training. Surely that's quite a good situation for a youngster?
It's annoying that we had two top class RBs and we sold them both, one to City, the other looks United bound now. To be fair I thought Aurier was okay going forward and think in a 3-5-2 type system he'd be okay. Docherty might be okay as a stand in under Nuno but yeah we need a proper RB. We seem to be running out of time for that and maybe we'll have to make do with Docherty until the next window (unless there are undisclosed negotiations occurring).Tanganga on loan I can certainly get behind, I know people rate him well and I do myself, but I rate his attributes more that I do the total sum of them. Skipp, for me, is good enough to be starting 15+ games for us this season. We were blessed last year that Hojbjerg didn't suffer an injury, not projecting that he will but.. you know. Would definitely be holding on to Skipp, he can be a very good PL player this year and should get plenty of minutes.
Some word emerging yesterday that Zouma doesn't want to go to to Sevilla, more of that this morning. Could bode well for us shifting Sanchez which hopefully could speed up a move for Tomiyasu or whoever else. Once we get Romero done I think a right back has to be next on the agenda, Doherty ain't it.
Yes. We get it done and build from the back. For the sake of 5 million? Definitely. For the sake of 29 mill? Nah.That's entirely dependent on available budget though isn't it?
We need more than just a CB, more than a few on here are adamant that we need 2. So we do the deal, pay an extra £5-10M just to "get it done" and our budget is £5-10M lighter.
We have a 2nd CB on our radar, who is of the requisite quality. The selling club is looking to sell him for, say, £30M. We can afford that from the budget, but we're also looking to bring in a striker (let's say Vlahovic) that the selling club want, reportedly, £60M for. Trouble is, we've just waxed an extra £5-10M getting the 1st deal over the line, so Vlahovic is now outside of our budget constraints, so we either try to negotiate the price down, or we go for a cheaper option, because that's all we can afford.
As I posted previously, we are not privy to the available budget for players, so we don't know how much there is available to spend, but if it's limited, then it makes sense to squeeze every penny out of the initial deals if it means that we are able to bring in another one of quality later on.
That £5-10M could mean the difference between getting a Vlahovic or getting a lesser striker.
