Manager above any signings this summer, in my view.
What good is a brand new £50,000,000 centre back if we're going to set up to constantly put pressure on our defence?
This is a manager who spent near enough £80,000,000 on signing Bailly and Lindelof for Man Utd and wanted to spend a further £40,000,000 on Eric Dier when he was there ffs.
And who then, once appointed Spurs manager, decided to give Alderweireld and Eric Dier new fucking contracts.
A good coach can coach players to defend. That's logic.
When Ranieri is guiding a Leicester City team to win the league with one of the best defences in the league consisting of Simpson, Morgan, Huth and Fuchs and Antonio Conte then follows that up by winning the league with one of the best defences that consisted of Moses, Luiz, Cahill and Alonso - don't tell me we need flashy new players.
Now someone probably comes in here and tells me the difference in those teams was Ngolo Kante - well then it's clear that a defensive midfield is probably a position we probably need to upgrade then.
