Injury prone, doesn't cover ground all that well, massive wages I'm sure. Serious talent, but I'm sure he'd cost the bones of 35m and for that money we should be targeting somebody much younger. Gouiri, Eze, ASM, De Paul, Wamanituka, Gonzalez, Bailey, Malen, Olise, Boadu, Stengs all younger and probably have more to offer us than Coutinho imo. James Rodriguez in the same camp as Coutinho, in that he has such quality but the circumstances of his fitness, mobility and the general tail off in his career means he's really only been effective in 1/3 of Everton's games and either misses or ghosts the rest of them.

Stengs and Eze I really like. The idiocy of paying 10m more for a non HG Bergwijn instead of HG Eze was astounding.

Brandt is possibly available for 20m ish, still only 24.

And I think we could do worse than take a punt on Abraham for 30-35m - especially if Kane does go.

Abraham is a really likeable player, even though he plays for them. If Kane were to go I'd make a big effort for Vlahovic, he's an unfinished product but think he'll be a top player.

I like Bergwijn and still think he'll be good tbh .. confident time will show just how bad a job Mourinho did. Eze would have struggled under him. Kind of in-between on Brandt, would be good squad player though.

People are going to question the Stengs idea due to his stats in a league where many put up big numbers, but his vision is something else. I would love to bring back Noni as he would eventually be HG and club trained.

The abuse Tommy gets is crazy and would be get plenty of chances with Potter at the helm :)

We have to give SB a chance under a manager that can let him use his skillset as it was completely wasted. We are really good at poor utilization of players.
 
So many of these players have regressed and stagnated.
We no longer have one of the best squads in the league

We need some major changes to the squad. Quite a lot of incomings/outgoings needed.

Even if we don't have money we can still be smart and get rid of a lot of players and replace them with the funds generated from that. Get rid of all the deadwood!

I agree with what you have posted apart from the last bit.

I don't think there is going to be any market at all for our deadwood. Literarally we will struggle to give them away. The wages will be a problem for any team that would take them. I dont think there will be any funds generated for them at all. And the only ones we will be in the market for will be other teams cast offs.

I am absolutely certain that we will start next season with pretty much the squad we have now plus a couple of additions that no one has heard of.

The only bright spots on the horizon as I see it are Skipps return. Rodon and possibly Tanganga develop into first team regulars and an upgrade on what we have and possibly the new manager has some clue as to how to get a better rune out of the squad than Jose did.

I'm depressed.

In terms of incoming strikers this summer I know we have been linked with Patson Daka for a couple of years now would love to see us sign him

And I’ll throw a wildcard in the mix who’s a real prospect upfront Terem Moffi looks like he’s going be some player too and still only 21.

I started watching PochSG a bit recently, and they played Lens yesterday. Lens had a guy Seko Fofana who came out of the Man City academy apparently. He looked a bit like a skilful Sissoko ... Moura in Sissoko's body kind of thing.
