Is that a description of him?
Ndombele was Dembele’s replacement (about a year too late)Eriksen -We did sign replacements. We signed Ndombele and Lo Celso at a cost of over 100m. Neither of whom are any good playing as a creative mid.
Vertonghen - We paid 40m for Sanchez; who should be our main CB now. After a fantastic first season, It seems that poor coaching has resulted in him going backwards.
So yes, Levy did make players available at significant cost; however it seems the players we got haven't really worked out. Is this a failure of our scouts (poor player, bad culture fit) or our coach (inability to get best out of player)
Spot on.Ndombele was Dembele’s replacement (about a year too late)
Lo Celso is a hard working number 8, not a creative 10, and was a player that the club clearly wanted regardless of whether Eriksen left or not.
And Sanchez as Jans replacement? Are you having a laugh? He played for 3 years with Jan and the club had ample time to see he was nowhere near good enough to be the long term answer for our defence.
Stop making excuses for ineptness.
Interesting player.
Not what we need. Not what we need at all.
Why?
Said it multiple times. Kane Son and Max lots of pace and skill![]()
Newcastle United tipped to lose Saint-Maximin to Spurs - Phillips
Allan Saint-Maximin will leave Newcastle United this summer and Tottenham is an ideal destination, claims ex-Sunderland man Kevin Phillips.www.footballinsider247.com
Saint-Maximin is a baller. He’d be a great signing if the fee wouldn’t be astronomical.
Gulaschi is 85 rated in Fifa. Would be a downgrade against Lloris (87).
Gulasci is HG as well, spent years at Liverpool. Good keeper, not as good as Hugo at his best obviously, but every bit as good as Pope.If the 11 million buyout clause is true then perhaps it's a relative bargain while money is a little tight post-covid. Going out and paying a king's ransom for Pope this summer wouldn't really solve our problems.
