In the Amazon doc Levy was moaning about how complicated a transfer is and how the player population is like a pyramid. The higher up you get (as a club) the fewer options you have that would improve the squad. This really shows why we struggle so much imo:
1. It's the same for all clubs. If Leicester and Dortmund can sign a lot of players, so can we.
2. It's obvious we have no real scouting network or philosophy behind recruitment. Talent pop up all the time. It's the Club's job to identify it.
3. Levy knows very little about the sport and is holding us back on that side of things

Spot on mate.

Time to spend serious money. We've got to the point now where we will fall even further behind.

Before when we had quality squad you get away with not spending the money but we need 3/4 new players in the backline , money HAS to be spent.

That's how you keep your best players!

The excuses are gone.

We can't overrate the squad players saying these are the guys that got us top 4 and to a CL final anymore. We can't say we have Jose now so he will use his superpowers to make everyone better so we have to give him time with these guys. The Covid excuse is weak now as we have had more than enough time to adapt to the changes that need to be made under Covid.

i guess they could trot out the new manager BS saying he needs time with this group, and I should never underestimate the willingness of Levy to not make needed changes. but I do think there can be no doubt that major changes are needed.

The doesn't mean that Levy will make them but there is no more hiding. It is clear major, major changes are needed.

It's a huge summer for Levy. Business as usual wont cut it this time.

There is no incentive for him to do anything more than keep things humming along. I expect to see a lot of players like Serge and Dier saying things like "the player is happy at the club and doesn't want to leave". There is a stench of bare minimum at the club from top to bottom and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

That we sacked Jose before a cup final and have no clue as to who will replace him shows a club without a vision or a plan. I'm almost certain he was sacked on the off chance he won the trophy and Levy would have to pay him more money. No wonder Kane doesn't look interested lately. I mean why bother?

Dier , Lamela , Dele , Sanchez , Sissoko , Aurier , Foyth , Carter-Vickers , Winks

They've all had plenty of time , all been here since Summer 2017. None are good enough anymore.

These 9 have to go.

If Levy said that it just about sums up this shit show, if he really believes that then we're in big trouble. How good does he think we are, there's so many players out there that would improve us

I think the priority has to be defending.. We score plenty of goals and create plenty of chances. If we bring in 4 players they should be two CBS a RB and a DM

I don't think PEH is ideal as a DM but with him and Skipp I think we can get by, we need creativity in the MF more than a DM. I also think RW is a bigger need even if Bale comes back we need more than Bale, Bergwijn, Lucas, Lamlea as 1st choice options there.

we don't though, we create so many chances and score a lot!

we need all of our resources cash wise to be invested in defence!

We create because of Son and Kane having great individual play. When they are off we struggle to score.

Even beyond that look how poor we are without one of GLC and Ndombele off the field.

Right now outside of GLC and Ndombele every other MF and wing have zero creativity. In the early round games we struggled to score against weak teams because we have no creativity in our squad.

We need a better attack plan than hoping Kane and Son can consistently perform at beyond elite level play every single game.

Aurier and Reguilon from the starting 11 need to be first out the door.
Reggie is absolute shit, and the very slight advantage he had attacking wise is long gone.
Fooled a lot of our fans because he ran araaand a bit, whoopdy doo, shame it’s like having Charlie Adam as LB though. Total shit player.

Aurier needed to leave two years ago, a nothing player oddly celebrated when replacing the RB that’s about to win La Liga.

Dier, Sanchez, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Dele also need to go.

Kane can go, this club has come second to him for too long now, and if Son fucks off, so be it.
Lo Celso is shit, but might as well stay and hope, Ndombele I’d keep as an expensive super sub, Moura I’d keep, and I’d sign Bale.
Hojberg can be something.

Get Skipp and Tanganga involved, get in some players that don’t make me want to punch a brick wall.
