Yes and no.
I doubt that any manager, at any club, has 100% control over signings so there is no reason the club should stop all transfer activities. I would also say there are some players, Anderson is not one, that I think should work for any manager so you certainly should still work to acquire those guys especially if you have been scouting them.
If we were a properly run club with a proper DOF I think this would make sense, but with Levy as our DOF it is just another example of how poorly we are run.
If we aren’t trying to buy him we might as well give up. I see Woolwich are interested. That would be shit if he went there. He’s a gettable upgrade in a position we desperately need improving in.
