Pretty happy with the outs so far but until Aurier, Sissoko, Winks and Sanchez are gone then we haven't done enough. I would add Dier but pretty certain we're lumbered for the forseeable there.
I would suspect that, best case, 3/5 of those players are gone. To your point, Dier's contract is an albatross - he's not going anywhere. I think Sanchez is gone to Sevilla and Aurier/Sissoko get done. Winks may stick around because he doesn't want to go, but hopefully Everton can entice him.

Although, to be fair, if you told me that Paratici was able to offload Lamela, Toby, Aurier, Sissoko and Sanchez this summer, I'd have thought you were high. Not including Hart, CCV and possibly a couple others as well.

haven’t watched enough of Coady despite seeing a good number of Wolves games. What are his strengths and maybe weaknesses?
Very good passing, short and long range. His best attribute. Average defensive ability, maybe even below average. Defends the box okay but poor enough in open space. Reads the game well enough sweeping at the rear of a back three, but I don't think he'd cut it in a back four trying to play a highish defensive line.

Put it this way, if Nuno had Dier playing in Coady's spot this last three years I think he'd be more well thought of than Coady is now.

GOAT GOAT

I’m hearing Romero to Spurs is close, just one step away.

Why did he offer to match Eriksen's inter offer then? you're full of shit, the best way for Levy to make money is by Spurs being successful. we've constantly turned down bids for players like Dier and Dele cause levy didn't want to sell.

Fergie said he was a nightmare to deal with but only wanted what was best for Spurs. he's only sold players who gave him no other option. even managed to keep Modric basically against his will but "he's only about the money, sell sell sell"

Point 1
Eriksen had 1 year left on his contract. Levy wanted him to sign a new one so he didn't risk losing him for absolutely nothing. I've no doubt he would have sold him in the summer if Eriksen was agreeable to any of the teams that actually bid for him. Eriksen himself knew leaving is painful so was more than happy never signing any new deals.

Point 2
Yes, Levy wants what's best for Spurs. ENIC own Spurs so it is in ENIC's best interest to always get the most money.
That doesn't make him the messiah. It doesn't mean he loves THFC. He just sets about getting as much money as he can for his asset. Basic business 101.
Where this all goes wrong though is where he values players too highly and they don't get sold. Or he holds out so long that we end up with no striker but a pile of cash in a bank account that couldn't score a goal to save its life.
Or we end up with a bunch of deadwood on the wagebill because he thinks they're all worth top dollar but everyone we wish to buy should be given to us at a discounted price.

I've dealt with many difficult people over the years. Being difficult doesn't make them good at their job. In fact more often than not, they're completely cretins hurting themselves as much as the people they're being difficult with.

Dier is shit in more than one position and doesn't qualify as home grown so is completely useless.
Did you think this one through?
Already said this once, but I'll say it again...Horseshit. People like to give Dier stick, but in reality he's a slightly above average player. Shouldn't be a starter, but he's versatile and he's a good guy to have around if someone is injured and to play against lesser teams.
