Vlahovic is much quicker than Harry Kane. It's not even close.
Much quicker is an exaggeration. It's not Bale and Kane we are comparing here. Neither of them is known to be a speedster but Kane ain't slow either.
If you look at ratings you'll they have Kane and Vlahovic almost at the same speed, with Vlahovic a bit faster when it comes to "spring speed".

Kane offers both goals and creativity. We already needed a 2nd striker because we don’t have one but we would need 2 good strikers and both to have good seasons and possibly upgrades in AM as well to compensate and that is if it all works.
When Kane used to get injured under Poch, we used to destroy teams by fluently rotating Dele, Eriksen, Son and Lucas. It's how we beat Everton 6-2 away (I think). I'm nt saying we're going to have the same level of productivity, obviously not, but we're not going to go from scoring 60 goals in a season to scoring 30 just because we can lose Kane. If we lose him, we have to change the system.

I don't think we'll struggle for goals. Which means creativity shouldn't be a problem either. Kane does provide that in bunches, but if we play a different system, that can be compensated for. I know it's just friendlies, but our movement in the attacking third seemed so much better and we created a lot of chances. Add Gio, Tubby, and a more advanced PEH and we may not be that far off.
Who is Tubby we do not have a player called that?

With all due respect - £270m does not buy 6 or 7 World Class players.

Joe agrees.

The problem is we have lost Eriksen without replacing him.

Shots fired by the Athletic there. Very thinly veiled dig at Kane and the way his "team" have handled things.
I'm 95% convinced Kane would have got his move if he'd had just shut up. All the reports/news/interviews since March have been embarrassing for him and the club, and Levy hates that shit more than anything.

When Villa started spending the Grealish money in June, there wasn't a single peep about the move, just speculation. I'm sure Grealish wants to go, but he's loyal to Villa and wants them to get the best possible deal and to maintain a relationship with the fans.

He will still be adored at Villa 10 years on while Kane has completely tarnished his reputation among Spurs supporters for nothing.

One of the best performance's was against Chelsea @ the bridge that always remember

Not sure where this fella fits in with us anyway. On another note Bayern is raining the fuck out of RBL

Feels like Paratici is deliberately lowering the age profile of the squad this window. All serious links have been with 23 and under players. Subitizer isn't even that old (turned 27 this past April) and the price is good, but I imagine we'd rather through that €15m at another centerback or right winger to replace Lucas if he leaves now or next summer.

kane literally played and scored twice in that game…

As much as I hate Levy and ENIC, I'm glad he's running the show instead of 2/3s or this place.

Saying we shouldn't sell for any less than £150m is like being in a club at 11pm and turning down a solid 6. At 12 you turn down a solid 8 because you think you can get that 10.
At 3am you're at the kebab van, on your own, with sick on your shirt slurring profanities at a 3 that walks past because at this stage, it's better than nothing.

We're at 12pm now at Spurs. We have 2 hours to gamble whether to take the 8, because that ain't bad, or wait and see of a 10 comes along

If it doesn't then 3am is the equivalent of Kane sulking for a year or 2 and us only getting a fist full of cash after that time.

We did when Bale left. Don't underestimate the fear that a prolific goal scorer puts into the opposition.
If we sell Kane our only other recognised goal scorer is Son.
Most teams will look at the rest of ours and think they can manage Son easy on his own.
That in turn gives them attacking impetus to have a go at us.
I good example from the post Bale era was the 0-3 home loss to West Ham. The season before we saw so many teams camped in their half and us dominant on the ball but needing a Bale worldy to win it. Bale goes, Sam Alardici's West Ham arrived, their left back easily pushed the brainless Townsend outside onto his weaker right foot all afternoon and West Ham tore us apart. That was a shit West ham team too with a predominantly defence minded coach.

I wonder if the 'Kane not tuning up to training' was manipulated by Levy so the fans are less pissed off when he goes to City (or wherever)?

Come on.
What next?

Levy shot Tupac?
Levy organized 9/11?
Levy started COVID pandemic?

It would be really welcome if people would keep in touch with reality.

It is not in clubs nor Levy's interest to leak or fabricate such information. That only puts us to more difficult situation, as everyone would know he wants to leave desparately. This makes our negotiation position worse in every possible way.

All a bit worrying this is with the season just over a week away some players have even been seen in a game yet. How aurier is still there I don't know he is the rat in the squad. As for the kane situation. His agent his brother fucked up massive I saw that Harry thought there was a clause in his contract of a buy out. Can only think if he had a different agent he woukd not even be at the club now. Nice bonus for Charlie if he goes.

Kane will score 30 goals again next season if he stays. You don't give that away for anything less than top dollar.

It's purely guesswork from you to assume he will be a sulking net negative influence.

He is driven by personal as well as team achievements. He can't break all those scoring records if he takes a year off.
