People seem to forget that Villa are also losing Grealish in the process of all this.

I'm not saying they are going to be bad, but the assumption that both Spurs will finish in the bottom half of the table and Villa in the top half seems like a big assumption right now.

Patrick Schick. Built similar, maybe slightly less mobile but strong frame.

Him plus Vlahovic is better than just Kane (I hope!)
 
With Ings injuries Villa would be lucky to get him on the pitch for half the games in a season. He can’t be relied on.

honestly I’d rather see Scarlett get more game time than Ings coming off the bench every now and then.

Just because there aren't reports doesn't mean that Villa and Soton haven't been talking. Villa have known they were selling Grealish since before the Euros when they bought Buendia. Soton knew they had to either sell Ings now or lose him for nothing.

Even if you want to say 6 to 8 weeks which you have no evidence for, they still kept the deal quiet and completed it, we could definitely learn from that.

We are in danger of sleepwalking into this season. Assuming we lose Kane and Bale. That's 40+ goals and assists right away. So far we have absolutely fuck all in place to replace that output. If Kane goes who do they have lined up to come in? Ideally you want somebody in first before you sell him but there is little chance of that.

Even if Kane stays it will cast a shadow over the entire season and he'll jog about trying to avoid injuring himself before he can fuck off next summer.

3 weeks and we need at least 3-4 first quality first team players, plus all of our shite like Winks and Sissoko are still here and unlikely to be moved out because nobody wants them. I am getting 2008 vibes all over again here..

He only played in half their games - they are much improved
