I don't see how he must be worth 200m if nobody is looking to pay for it. I think 200m seems like a lot of money for a 28 year old in non-Covid times, when you throw in the likelihood that he doesn't want to go to anywhere outside of England and the value goes down even more.

Sure it is up to Spurs if it happens but having your best player and biggest asset upset is hardly a good way to go forward, especially when the team is not close to competing and has holes all over the team that you are unwilling to fix without funds, funds that can be generated by a sale.

I will say this nothing that me or people like me say have any effect on transfers.
He's not just a 'a 28 year old', he's also in the top few players in the world right now. If no one wants to pay £200m right now, then we wait. He must be worth twice what Grealish and Lukaku are worth surely. City isn't a normal club constrained by covid - they might well pay up if we stand firm - I know that might well mean having to recruit a replacement in the last few days, therefore we need to set them a strict deadline - pay up by xxx or no deal this year. Remember, we don't need to sell, and there is no guarantee at this late stage that selling him would improve our squad for the season ahead. I just don't understand why Spurs fans want us to bend over and take it from City - we're not their feeder club, if they want one of the very best players in the world then we should make them pay a price that reflects that.

With regard to Kane being 'upset', Modric was upset, yet still gave everything for that whole season before he finally got his move. Kane has always seemed like a top professional previously - I'm sure if he was made to stay another 12 months he would still give 100% and want to prove that he's worth Man City continuing to chase him (if I was him I'd actually be pretty pissed off that they claim to want him but don't think he's worth that much compared to others...).

Of course fans don't dictate transfer prices, but neither are they completely irrelevant - both the EPL and Gattuso's appointment would have gone ahead if it weren't for fans' backlash... ;)

His age plays a major factor into his price though, especially his ankles. And you can keep repeating 200m all you like but the rumours, from valid sources, and most people in football would disagree that is his value. It also appears that the group that matters most, Tottenham, also agree that 200m is not his value, although we may see that is not true.

Modric played well in large part because he was told he would go next summer, by all reports Kane already had that happen. I don't think he will down tools and play like shit, but we already saw that with him at his peak we got 7th. Now if you take 10% off of that because of him just not having a repeat of his best year ever, 10% off because his mind is elsewhere we are dealing with a reduced Kane. Plus, last year he played in every game he was asked, is he doing that again this year? When his ankles hurt is he playing through the pain or waiting until he is 100%. There is nothing unprofessional about him not playing through injuries. How does the team play with knowing that their leader and best player doesn't want to be there? Does that let a group that already have questionable attitudes slack off a little bit?

This all ignores that we have massive holes and an owner that doesn't want to spend. So Kane stays and we have a team coming off 6th and 7th place finishes with massive holes and no money to fix it. Next summer we still have those holes, still have Kane wanting to leave and he is worth less.

...Tottenham, also agree that 200m is not his value...
Says who? Where has Daniel Levy, or anyone official at the club, said that he can leave for less than £200m (or at all in fact)?

Look, I'm not against him leaving under the circumstances - I just think that given he is probably one of the top 5 players in the world right now, we should insist on getting absolutely top dollar, and as I said initially, if Grealish and Lukaku are worth £100m, then I find it hard to believe we'd have to let Kane go (particularly to a blood money club with almost infinite resources) for less than £180m minimum.

i Think if there is a stalemate with negotiations now between Spurs and City Tottenham should look to loan Kane for 30-40 million for the season with an obligation to buy next summer for 160 million plus we take a couple of City’s players on loan for the season I.e Bernardo Silva and Jesus or Sterling.

That’s the kind of deal that took Mbappe to PSG from Monaco

The monies guaranteed make the best of a bad situation plan for next year when you know the cash injection is guaranteed

This makes no sense at all

I read that the reason that Levy is against having a Man C. player involved in case there is a transfer of Kane is due to the salary structure at Spurs. From what I understand (but I may be wrong) is that other players salaries are "structured" increase according to the highest salary or salaries; so have Bernardo Silva and/or Laporte coming in with their salaries could increase the wages bill of Spurs by £20-30m.
Again, as I already stated, this may be (totally) wrong.

Inter target Nahitan Nandez is refusing to train with his Cagliari team and will not be involved in any upcoming games as he looks to force his move to Inter before the window closes, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by FcINternews, the Uruguayan is furious at how long it is taking the two clubs to finally agree on the terms of his transfer.

The midfielder agreed on personal terms with Inter many weeks ago and in his mind, he is an Inter player. The disagreement between the clubs is over the fee for the one-year loan. Inter want to pay €3 million, but Cagliari wants to receive €5 million.

Nahitan Nandez claims that Cagliari president, Tommaso Giulini, promised him that if a bid from a club of Inter’s size came in, the club would not stand in his way.
Charlie & Harry Kane should be keen on getting him to Spurs... so they can use him as an advisor...

This makes no sense at all
Harry Kane wants out no doubt about that
If we let him leave in a loan type deal where there is an obligation to buy then we guarantee our club a huge loan fee initially and a huge transfer fee next summer plus also take 2 of city’s players on loan for the season.

We also insert a clause in the contract stipulating if Harry wants to go to city permanently he has final say (give him some power) because you never know he might go there and win the premier league champions league fa cup and league cup all in the same season and decided hes won all the major honours now get back to the club he loves with no pressure

It’s win win stay or go Levy gets huge sums in for the club

Kane gets to win trophies

We get players on loan for the season plus cash

Potentially next summer pocket a huge transfer fee.
