I have the same concern, that he's gonna spend too much time on the deck. I do think there's a player buried in there though. My hope is that with the spotlight on him and more chances to actually score, he'll cut it out.

Professional gamers are at least talented at what they do. Whilst it's not my cup of tea and wouldn't watch it, I don't think it's much different from a football fan watching footballers on TV tbh.

Making a career out of tweeting news once you feel it's actually true requires very little talent. Any of us could do this. Eventually enough people will believe we're legit and the number of followers goes up and up.
His "job" is to read the news all day and then, when something looks imminent, bombard twitter with his breaking news.
I know you'll probably roll your eyes at the thought of reading it, but there is a bit of a background as to how he got so many followers and how it all begun.

I doubt it will change your opinion of him but I found it an interesting read.

If he starts being the first to break these stories, I'll give him credit. But it feels like others are more willing to out their necks on the line early doors and "break" the news.

Could be very wrong but got the idea reading stuff during the week that Juve were willing to sell De Ligt to possibly Chelsea for something around €80m. That would be a fair price, he's still young but doesn't yet really look like the player he was expected to be. Needs a change of scenery I think.
How the fuck is 80 mil fair price if that is what was paid for him, but since then he has not lived up to the expectations?!?!?!

Weird logic.

Different journalists do this for different clubs.
Matt Law great for Chelsea, Ornstein for both Woolwich and Man U.

We used to have Alasdair Gold but these days our info is kept a lot more under the wraps. Ever since Liverpool hijacked our Diaz bid, we’ve clearly put in a tougher no leaking policy.

I guess it's possible, as an Italian, he gets some news from Conte/Paratici and Italian clubs. Possible.

Sanchez situation is a little more complicated. On one hand, having him as back up is alright. However, we paid a handsome sum for him, and he doesn't seem to progress as we expected. His contract ends in summer 2024, and being a back up player would only depreciate his transfer value. So selling him now when we can still demand a meaningful fee and reinvest in new player is more ideal.

Very fair points you made 🤜

I've said it before - I think his faith rests on the offers we get for him + I would now add his own satisfaction in the club as well.

If best offer is like 25 mil and say Bremer would cost 35-40 mil (they are same age) - then it is hard to justify such swap honestly. On the other hand if someone is willing to cough up 35 mil for him and we'd get Bremer/Ndica for same amount or less, then it is far more tempting.

But other factor is his own mindset. If he is currently happy with his position and willing to work hard and prolong the deal on reasonable conditions - then it means club does not have to rush. Sure, if he has 1 year left and he will be bench player - it is one story. But if deal is prolonged and he gets similar playing time as in last season - then I not see big change in his value.

To be honest, I have been very critical of him in the past. But now I am somehow edging towards him staying. I think there will be lot of time to be found for him to cover and rotate with Romero and Dier in coming season.

Why would it be hard to value Bremer at 10m more than Sanchez when Bremer is a better player ?

Or have I misunderstood ?
