Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A top center Back and top right back would put us close to title contention. We have the rest of positions on a very good condition. I also would like to see if a young lad like Devine, Gil or Scarlett could contribute this season.

Worth commenting that Boro fly to Portugal for a weeks training camp and a friendly tomorrow Saturday.

Logically they take Spence with all the other players if the negotiations are still ongoing at that point. But that means they need to re-integrate him into the squad.

Resolution of the transfer is starting to be as helpful to Boro (including being able to buy other players they need) to Spurs.

You'll have to link me the article. All the information I've seen on this has shown a clear correlation, obviously not 100% of the time (United..) but teams who invest more generally achieve more. I imagine the top spenders on transfers correlate pretty closely with the top spenders on wages, anyway.
I can't find the exact article, but here's one that talks about salaries vs league position.

The full text is in a book called The Econometrics of Sport. And I also think there is some analysis in the book Soccernomics, which is co-authored by one of the authors of the chapter that explains correlation of wages and league position in The Econometrics of Sport.

The Tanganga/Sessegnon mix up was hilarious, was gonna step in but wanted to watch the thread burn a bit :contelol:

I’m not even sure we need to replace Stevie B. I think 5 senior options for 3 positions in Kane, Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison and Lucas is fine, especially if one of Gil, Parrott or Scarlett is ready for first team football too.

We also currently boast 3 lwbs, two of which are very used to playing in a front 3 in Sessegnon and Perisic. A new attacker would be nice but really not a priority for me.
Or upgrade Lucas and have 5 competing for 3.

Main reason i put him on ignore, and few others. Some people are just so aggressive, and they just do everything to fit their agenda. They just read between the line, twist your words and more. No reason to lose any nerve in any given forum. Forums should be for positive emotion and when you are sad after bad result to get backup.
But some people just want to force their opinion, and not accepting someone else have different view. The best way to deal with this guys is the ignore option, instead of feeding them.
He should be the dictionary definition of a Grade A bellend

Don't know why you engage with him, he's obviously got an agenda against the club/Levy.....

Whatever you do, don't tell him you're not a Labour voter.... he'll have the Leftwaffe on you.

It’s amazing the kind of people on here who are on the same side. Tells you a lot about them.

When your allies are the guy who makes light of Eriksen nearly dying & the guy who supports banning abortions, you know you’re a gang of cunts.
