In attackers who do we have.

Zaniolo - seems the one Conte wants but Jose blocked it apparently, very physical hard runner.

Harvey Barnes - good goal scorer but for me other parts of his game could be better

Zaha - very good player with 1 year left but doubt even then Palace will sell

Maddison - probably too expensive but quality all round player who can play multiple positions, (wide & AM)

Paqueta - a risk coming from the French league but looks very talented

Gordon - his general play running, tackling, dribbling, aggression is really really good but needs better G/A numbers. Perhaps the player on this list with the highest potential but £50m for potential even if it’s very high potential seems steep.

Probably missed a few
Maddison is the best player there imo but perhaps doesnt fit the wide forward/10 hybrid they seem to be looking for. Best fit seems to be Zaniolo, can play anywhere, strong and good dribbler, also right age to be buying. Just the injuries and another foreign trained player on the downside.

He's scored 13 in something like 14 games. I would usually agree but he has sustained this level for a good period of time now. I suspect it is because he is playing in a more attacking team now than under Hodgson.

Regardless, he plays off the left and is best there. We need another off of the right hand side. Haha isn't that.
Fair enough.

Maybe I’m not giving him enough credit. But as you say, it’s not even the position we really need.

Zaniolo appeared to be Conte's favourite as Kulusevski alternate but we've been knocked back it would appear, and with new team mate Georginio Wijnaldum breaking his leg at the weekend (and out for a few months) , I'd suggest Roma have less reason to sell.

Ruslan Malinovskyi might be the front runner now - against him is age and with one year left on his contract a loan doesn't look likely, but its clear he's fallen out with his manager as they want more of a goalscorer, whereas Malinovskyi seems to get a solid 15-20 goal involvements (half goals half assists).

Gordon is less experienced at 21 years old and last year got less than 10 goal involvements. Plenty of time to come good - but will Everton want to sell at a realistic price including a lot of add ons for the relatively unproven player. His HG status means he takes a vacant spot, leaving an overseas trained player spot free.

Maddison can play as a RW, but not sure that's where he's most comfortable player. And Leicester probably want a full £50m, not sure we want to pay that. HG like Gordon though.

I like Harvey Barnes at Leicester, but he plays on left. No idea if he can play on right.

Eze I like but very different player, Olise too but he's too inexperienced.
