Sarr cost Watford £30m - not sure we need him if we think Gil is worth keeping. Although there may be an argument that the six footer with PL experience may more rapidly make his mark at Spurs ?

McNeil looks great at Burnley putting in crosses - but think we'd only want him if he played as a LWB.

Available for £35m last summer apparently, so this year probably less.

Gil bought for £22m ....... and surely too similar in playing position (both wingers) to keep both, so we'd want to offload to buy Sarr.

So do we think Sarr is better enough to justify a bigger fee than Gil ?

And who (probably Spanish club) has the cash and need to buy Gil ?

I couldn't say, not seen a lot of Sarr but people seem to rate him and he is ready for PL.

Gil is a throw of the dice, I like these gambles and these days 15 - 25 is the going rate.

I feel we would get our money back on Gil or there abouts if we decide to sell.

I don't think he'd be a good WB in a conte system cos he lacks composure in front of goal, but he'd be excellent in a Trippier like role crossing and running up and down the left wing for 90 mins.

RM have 33 year old Marcello as LB and his contract runs out in June. Might Madrid be thinking they need another quality left back as replacement even with Mendy already there ?

Agree the buyout is top of his worth, but from RM's point of view exercising a buyout clause is really interested, he's an HG player etc. Just depends if they have cash available.

Not sure there's enough upside to justify trying to flip him ?
40M? I like him but he’s not amazing and we could do better for that price imo. Great wheels but too erratic on the ball. Another non footballer that can’t keep the ball under pressure

Sarr has potential to be an outstanding RWB IMO

Playing Skipp, Bentancur and Hoj together may afford Conte the luxury to play Gil as a false WB when he is actually going to camping in the opponent's half all the time

I said 2 seasons ago when they went down. If dippers are / were interested I reckon we should jump in £30M. If we play a counter attack system then he would fit the bill. Sell Lucas bcos of his age.

Striker wise we can’t look past Toney as Kane understudy / replacement if he goes.

Rumoured that Toney chose Brentford in 2020 over Spurs as our offer was for him to be understudy to Kane whereas at Brentford he's been their main man.

Maybe different now Toney is more PL established and he might see it as an opportunity to deputise for Kane but also as a genuine alternate in other matches, and a successor to Kane in time. Who knows ?

Dennis is a striker so goals/assists should be higher than Sarr.

Would you want us to buy him though - first season at Watford and not that remarkable at Bruges before that so could be a one season wonder ?
He does get into great positions but I would like to give him a slap for the chances he fecked up v Woolwich, the only time I watched Watford this season.
