Raphinha feels like an old school Spurs fan favorite, capable of doing the exceptional but somewhat inconsistent.

Richarlison seems like the scrappy power and pace type that Conte loves and gravitates toward who doesn’t necessarily play the most beautiful football, but he earns you points and results.

For our needs, I'd have Richarlison first of the three Brazilians, but Raphina is my favourite of the three. Been watching a few of his LW performances for Leeds and he's quite effective there, so would be a great rotation for both Kulu and Son.

Richarlison being able to play through the middle and being an aerial threat makes him #1 for me. If we really do go for Raphina, I'd expect we try to sign a centre forward as well. Don't expect Conte will be left in the position of previous managers with just one legit central striker.
I would also rather have Richarlison but Raphina works as well. If we get both even better. But if we just get Richarlison then I expect us to maybe buy a promising young English attacker or hell give Parrott a shot.

Where you getting your numbers from?

Swizzramble has us at £360m for 2020/21 and £391 the season before that (due to covid), so of course it's gone up, but the latest accounts haven't been published yet have they?

Liverpool are at 490m. Still well over 100m.

We're definitely closing in on United at a rapid pace, but as your own numbers show we're still £200m off.

Mine were 2022 numbers. I thought that was clear when I put 2022 in the post. 😁

I guess they're what was reported after April.

Out of Jesus, Richarlison and Raphinha, who seem to be the 3 forwards we are heavily linked too. Who would you want?

Has to be Richarlison based on our needs

Attack
Goals48
Goals per match0.28
Headed goals11
Goals with right foot23
Goals with left foot13
Assists 16

Equals a goal or assist contribution in a shit Everton and Watford team every 37% of the games he plays (36.99 or something like that)

left foot, right food and headed goals means he really can offer us everything across the top 3 positions where at the moment we simply don't have the depth. He's the most versatile and best value for money given the problems his signing would solve. Big character as well who will add a layer to our attitude.

His numbers last season are even better with the following:

Attack
Goals10
Goals per match0.33
Headed goals2
Goals with right foot6
Goals with left foot2
Assists 5

Across the 30 games he played that's a goal or assist contribution every 50% of the games he plays. Definitely take that offering left peg, right leg and headed finishing to what we already have.

Raphina on the other hand has the following:

Attack
Goals17
Goals per match0.26
Headed goals0
Goals with right foot1
Goals with left foot16

He's clearly one footed. I think if we were looking for an out and out specialist he'd be better but we need versatility for Kulu, Sonny and Kane so Richarlison absolutely fits that better and by a clear distance.

I’m thinking I might be a minority based on the excitement I’m seeing right now, but I think Raphina’s another smoke screen…

Like has been said many times before, we’ve been keeping our business quiet so far, would we let it be known we’re about to make a bid, especially if our rivals are sniffing around also?
It’s true. The real Brazilian we are actually going for is Neymar

It's probably very unlike that we do, but I would still be keen to see what people would prefer.
  1. Get a bigger name LCB with either Raphina or Richarlison
  2. Get a lesser name LCB with both Raphina and Richarlison

I'm aware that the finances for both aren't like for like, as option 2 would still be 20-30m more.
Get a world class LCB with Richarlison. Don't want Raphina. Don't care if the LCB is a name - just that he has the ball playing ability and defensive confidence to improve our back three.

Richarlison has the potential to be a great utility player for us (something which can be extremely hard to find and closer to what we need). I think he could play at wing-back as well as in the front three and for a player with his versatility £50m is a steal.

Maybe, but you still see agents pushing players to clubs outside the CL if it suits them financially.’ Woolwich wouldn’t be going for these guys if agent hadn’t given them encouragment.
You mean agents are going to try and get their clients big deals????

No kidding!

It doesn't matter how good Edu's relationship is if at the end of the day, we both want a player, and offer the right amount, we're getting the player because they're playing Europa with a shit manager.

Yep, I’ve laid out here how we can get Raph, Rich, and a £50m LCB; with a net spend of £110m.

All prices realistic:
#3,780
You've also missed Locelso, and Ndombele (although any fee for him will be a miracle).
Personally thing that Lucas and Sanchez will end up staying, but that would still put us below the 150mil net spend.
I'm a bit surprised we're not investigating Pau Torres more, seems likely that we could agree to 20/30m fee for him with Locelso going the other way.
