Now for the elephant in the room : to get to a 25 man squad, we need (under UEFA rules) to have at least 4 Club trained players and a minimum of 8 trained at clubs affiliated with The FA (including the Club Trained players).

Currently we have :

Club Trained :
Kane, Winks, Tanganga and Austin or Whiteman ..... with Skipp becoming over 21 next season

Trained at Other Clubs affiliated to The FA :
Sessegnon

So we have at best 5 out of the 8 HG players we need to get to a 25 man squad - including Winks.

So the question becomes which HG players might be available - and ideally we need 3 of them !

Goalkeepers - As 2nd GK to replace Gollini, Sam Johnstone (WBA) is out of contract in June. Dean Henderson (ManU) is bitterly regretting signing a 5 year contract at ManU but doubt if they want to sell to us. Nick Pope might be available if Burnley are relegated.

After that, finding decent available HG players at a decent price becomes more tricky - I still think Spurs screwed up by not signing Jarrod Bowen from Hull.

Probably a short list would include u21's who we'd hope would develop such as Lewis-Potter winger (Hull) and RWB Spence (Middlesbrough). RB Jayden Bogle (Sheffield United)

But more mature HG players - winger Jesse Lingard (out of contract in June), CB/RB/LB Joe Gomez (Liverpool)is said to want a move but has 2 years left on his contract ....... the list of good available players is pretty short. Might be one or two possibilities if teams are relegated ?

- As above; if neither of our acad. GKs are ready to step up as #2 then a GK is a necessity and a fairly easy win.... Any of the names you mentioned would suffice at #2; but Henderson wouldn't be a bad succession plan for Hugo as long as he's prepared to play the waiting game a little longer. Would he though.....?

- Sanchez <> Gomez would be a smart bit of business, but presumably wherever he goes he'll have his eye on a starting role otherwise why leave the dippers at all....?

JWP (not a fan myself) and Phillips both spring to mind..... As does (once again) the stupidity of selling KWP.

I think Everton should have enough squad depth to stay up, whereas Leeds may not.

Everton has a handful of players that I would consider for Spurs (under the right conditions/specifics), but I'd prefer to keep our relationship as is (AKA: Everton happy to buy our older toys.)

NORWICH:
  • You will laugh, but we could do much worse than TIM KRUL as a 2nd-choice GK. Obviously a short-term "fix".
  • OZAN KABAK. 21 year-old Turkish CB on loan from Schalke. Was on loan for a minute at Liverpool. Seems to be a project with many interested parties involved.
  • TEEMU PUKKI. For the LOLs, this would feel like a move we'd make circa the early '00s.
BURNLEY:
  • I love DWIGHT MCNEIL. Apparently, he has the same agency as Sessegnon and Troy Parrott. A leading global football agency | Unique Sports Group
  • I actually also really like Burnley's LB, CHARLIE TAYLOR, but get that he's unglamorous. He's also had some nagging injuries over the past 2 seasons.
  • NICK POPE. We (eventually) need 2 GKs. I don't have a strong opinion (or particular bias) towards any of the English GKs that occasionally get linked to us. He's always performed well against us.
WATFORD:
  • ******ReSiSt ThE uRgE tO tYpE SiSsOkO!1!!!11*****
  • EMMANUEL DENNIS and ISMAÏLA SARR would both have to be considered, but I'd be weary of Sarr, Watford have driven him into the ground over the past couple of seasons.
  • JOÃO PEDRO is probably the most interesting Watford prospect IMO.
  • SAMIR is a left-footed CB from Brasil via Serie A.
LEEDS:
  • RAPHINHA would be an absolute no-brainer (move-on Lucas + Lo Celso), but barring a relegation release clause, would likely cost +£40-45M, and likely has other suitors in Spain/Italy/etc...
  • PATRICK BAMFORD. We still need another/new #9. Is he crocked, though?
  • I'm more lukewarm on KALVIN PHILLIPS. Don't think he warrants the price/bidding war he may ending going for if Utd or Liverpool are interested...
  • DANIEL JAMES... Could he be a RWB in Conte's system?

MY TOP 3:
  1. RAPHINHA (Leeds)
  2. DWIGHT MCNEIL (Burnley)
  3. JOÃO PEDRO (Watford)
WILDCARD: CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN (Brentford)
Kalvin Phillips is SUCH a Conte type player. Would get in above anything we have in CM right now IMO.
Dan James? Nah mate the lad can't finish.
Kabak at Norwich is interesting, couple of Norwich supporting mates say he can't turn at all though.
Pukki; Meh. would rather see Berg play more
GK suggestions are sensible, especially Pope for HG quota

unfashionable as you say Charlie Taylor is, I'm not too sure about him but think Tarkowski or Mee would add depth and proper defensive quality - I'm not sure what they are both like on the ball and I guess no one would be the way Burnley play.

No Watford players for me at all

Agree on Tarkowski and Mee. Both home grown and seemingly better than Rodon or CCV if not Sanchez. Tarkowski on a free and I think Mee is a club option 1 year.

Yeah but of a clogger in open play but he’s ok, certainly better than Winks and probably PEH but free kicks / corners are a game changer
And utility (or, as it's sometimes known, "everybility.")

JWP hasn't missed a minute in 2 PL seasons or something incredible like that, and typically leads (or is in the "running") for most-distance covered.

Just remembered how bad Popes kicking is….

I do rate Kalvin Phillips (as I'd imagine most do)... just not at what he'd likely cost.. if it's true that the likes of ManUtd and Real Madrid are in for him AND he wants to play Champions League. ++£35M just to get to the table w/ Leeds for a guy (admittedly in his prime) but has yet to feature after 3 months out w/ a hamstring injury...

Pukki would be a classic last minute Spurs move (pre-Paratici)... futz around all summer with some blue-chip names only to end up w/ Pukki at the end. Agree on Bergwijn, but if he has any interest in getting in that Dutch 23 for Qatar, he's going to need to be playing consistently beginning of next season. Which is unlikely at Spurs.

Besides Dwight McNeil (didn't realize how young he is: 22 years-old!), the person I rate the most @ Burnley is Sean Dyche. I get the sense that some people goof on him but what he's managed at Burnley is incredible, and I'd love to see him at a bigger club.

Jesus fucking Christ. I've just had to catch up on 6 pages of this fucking garbage.

Someone say a good name for fuck sake.

It's like this in here lately:

And if you cunts don't start saying good names I'm confiscating your summer transfer books.

JWP, Donny Wong, Sammy fucking Chong....

Our old DoF Paul Mitchell is apparently getting the sack soon from Monaco. Dmitry Rybolovlev, Monaco's owner and one of few oligarchs yet to be sanctioned (granted he does not seem close to the current regime at all after being more or less forced out of Russia in 2010), has apparently decided that the club needs a complete revamp. So the president, DoF, manager and multiple staff will have to go.

May be some players worth salvaging from Monaco in the future. Feels rough to sack Philippe Clermont already since he only took over as manager in January from Kovac. And Kovac wasn't doing badly either when it comes to results, he just had a massive falling out with Mitchell.

If Henderson leaves Man Utd because he can't oust de Gea as the number 1 then I doubt he'll join Spurs to sit on the bench.
He signed that 5 years deal with Man Utd believing that he would be the no. 1 at Man Utd and he was given the chance but did not take it....so I doubt he'll take the same chance at Spurs - unless he's given assurance of being Spurs' number 1
