Dutch clubs need to sell more/at bigger prices than they buy. A figure only slightly below what we paid isn't low; it might even be a bit high...considering we bought from a Dutch club, he never established himself as regular, and we're selling back to the Dutch league.

Who cares... It's a global market. If you can't afford Waitrose.... Shop in Tesco.... Still too expensive? ......There's always Lidl.

Besides, this isn't any old Dutch club; Ajax are THE dominant club and get CL money every year.

Firstly where are you reading this? Secondly we want to sell them, in fact Bergy wants to go and Winks has been clinging to the fucking door frame, they are not in our plans, what do you suggest? Just keep them on 70k a week for old times sake? The club still has to get shot of players that dont feature or we do an arse or united and set fire to the money?
What you on about!
Buy forward player/striker and sell the fringe players, don't make condition to sell first and then buy, doesn't matter which order. The money is there to spend and there are players which will be sold in this window.

Get a world class LCB with Richarlison. Don't want Raphina. Don't care if the LCB is a name - just that he has the ball playing ability and defensive confidence to improve our back three.

Richarlison has the potential to be a great utility player for us (something which can be extremely hard to find and closer to what we need). I think he could play at wing-back as well as in the front three and for a player with his versatility £50m is a steal.
Agree . Never thought about Rich as a WB but a good point.
Levy is offering a warchest and we might not even dip into it

The blokes a bloody marvel
The loan is there so that we won't get kicked in the gonads by clubs when we are trying to sell.
We can hold out and get the true value instead of clubs thinking we need the money to buy.

Its June ffs

English window opened on 10 June, most european windows don't open until 1 July ......... and don't close until August

So we've signed 3 excellent players and setting up deals for others ..... but it ain't all happening in a few days .... hence windows open for 2 months.

Hence we do NOT need money today ..... but in a few weeks.

It really is that simple - the money is available but isn't needed now.

Bit of a stretch calling Fraser Forster excellent tbf

As a back up GK very good if not excellent

Played 18 PL games last season - including MoTM against Woolwich making them drop points, one reason why we are in CL and not them.

Last called up to England squad in April

Not sure we get a better back up GK with a better cv - only negative is age so its short term cover for 2 years. But I can live with that

He is more physical than Son. I’m not saying he is better as he isn’t. But Son goes down easy and doesn’t really battle in the air. Richarlison also goes down easy but he gets stuck in too. And good work rate

If we the Don pulls this off them we can look at this as a medium to long term signing. Sonny turns thirty next month and Richarlison has just turned twenty five.

We could have a true star in the making, and I think Conte will make him a much better finisher.

That will be staying at £16m then

I could be wrong, but I anticipate that if they buy him that he instantly becomes another one in their parade of massively overpaid, overhyped, and underperforming players. My guess is that he would put in a decent first season, probably have a couple of important goals for them, but will overall be fairly mediocre and nowhere able to live up to the pay grade they will have to spend on him. Shortly after that he will be another clunker that they desperately try to get something out of while it's obvious the wheels have totally fallen off.

Yeh , think that would seem the likely scenario , they get it wrong more often than not . Thank god!!
