Nearly 70 million for Raphinha is a lot when we already have Kulusevski in his best position. I get we need depth but that's not a depth signing, that's someone you want to come in and immediately be winning you points.

Would be an exciting transfer .. but almost half the so called war chest (before signing on fees, wages etc) blown on a depth player would be risky.
I reckon we’re just driving up the price for the scum. Richarlison is more a Conte type player.

Surprised Guardiola wasn't put off from signing Phillips from his last England performance where he was abysmal. He had a decent Euros and is a good player but he's certainly no Fernandinho unless he improves loads.

So Woolwich are apparently doing:
- Viera: 35m
- Jesus: 45m
- Raphina: 65m??

145m on 3 forward players without addressing any of their midfield or defensive issues.

Surely the Raphina links are bollocks? Could be them trying to drive the price up to fuck us.

Either way I don't want us to sign him for 65m.
I reckon they are so focused on us the conversation was Why did Spurs finish above us? Because their front three are immense. So we need to match that then we will finish ahead of them.

Thing is they cant match it. And we will improve our weak areas while they are doing nothing about theirs. They wish they were us. It’ll be funny to watch them pretend next season.

In 2016 City paid 25 mil for him. Give Pep kudos, he knows how to screw his best mate.

58 goals in six years, Harry and Son will be shitting themselves next season over the Golden Boot.

His goals to minutes isn't bad at all though. Let's not forget that he was always second fiddle to Aguero who was one of the best of his generation, and was also often played out wide when he did play. If Woolwich make him their main man up front and play him centrally he'll score plenty for them. A massive improvement on Lacazette.

Despite his shit-show against Hungary I think he's shown that with the right players around him and a top coach developing him he has what it takes to become a real player.

Signing for City and Pep is good news for England imo

Yeah I'm not gonna judge him too much on the England games/last few matches of the season. He was very clearly struggling to get back to fitness + everyone was crap for England anyway. If he recovers fully (which most players do with modern methods) he's an excellent option.

He'll definitely improve at City just by training with the world-class players they have there. He should have been the man Woolwich went for as he would be an improvement on Elneny, instead of focusing on his team-mate Raphina.
