I don't want to pick on the WBs, especially as many others were awful yesterday, but Conte's system does mean they're key to creativity. And even Reguilon who had a poor game picked up an assist. So imagine what we'd do with a quality RWB (who could either cross or shoot or both).

I think we need a World Class CM, World Class, CB, a RWB better than what we have and a ST.
I agree. Postpone the striker and buy £40-50m players in the other positions. That’s not world class (no world class player is coming to us - what are you smoking!) but it’s players that make us extremely competitive for top 4 and give us an outside chance at a cup.

Its why although people will go on and on about Kulu and Bentancur and how great it is we got them, the window was at best a 5/10.
We play Burnley and again have no players that can break down a low block. We all knew it was a problem and did nothing to address it.
We see Kane and Son are tired, Son especially, but have zero goal scoring options. Against United, MIddlebrough Son especially looked cooked but the best we can bring on is Moura and Bergwijn who offer basically nothing in terms of goals.
And of course there is the RWB issue which was an absolutely criminal that we didn't address it at all.
Buying 2 players in a January window and shifting the dead weight we did was good and about as much as you can expect. Teams just don't do a lot of business mid season.
The reality is, yes, we're more than just 2 players away from moving back into the top 4 comfortably. That's why we're multiple windows away.
No it isn't good. We weren't better after the window, the issues we needed addressing before the window weren't addressed.
The BS that we can't do business in the January window is BS.
If we had added players we needed we are easily in the top 4 right now. Might not be enough to keep us there long term but for this year and how weak the race for top 4 is we easily could have been in top 4 had we had a good window.
Whatever man, I'm not going to have another one of these debates with you and your dreamland version of the world. No one ever does much business in the winter. City buys 1 maybe 2 players with their unlimited funding. Most Chelsea have ever bought with Roman's dodgy book is 3 I believe. Newcastle came in and spent big this winter because the Saudis took over a shit relegation candidate club who literally anyone could improve.
We did very well in a winter window to find 2 good players and shift out some deadwood to make space for next season. Keep thinking you know more than everyone in the world, and you'll keep being disappointed. Because signing 4-5 players in January is just unrealistic. Like me asking my boss to start paying me $1M/yr.
It is not a dreamland scenario to say we could make moves to improve the team.
Who cares what other teams that don't have the needs we have do? Chelsea and City don't make moves in January because they have quality teams and address their needs in the summer.
They don't have to buy 4-5 players, how about instead of signing a marginal upgrade in Bentancur we bring in a player that addresses our needs better than him?
Or bring in the much needed RWB that Conte needs to make his system work.
The person living a dream world is you trying to pretend that we can't upgrade the absolute dog shit talent we have at this club. That it is impossible to address the many issues we have.
