Read that Conte wanted to bring a no 10 in and let Kane stays in the box. Maddison can play that no 10.

But I hope Kane continues to play that redrawn role, and not bring him back to no 9. Here is why:

Managers will ask their best defender to mark Kane. Kulu and Son start wide, hence will occupy their full backs. When Kane drops deep and ping balls in, their best defender will not be in the box defending. That leaves space for Son or Kulu to run into. If a new no 10 comes in and play balls into the box for Kane, their best defender will still in in the box defending. The tactical advantage of Kane being no 10 will be gone.
It also feels like it preserves his body.

Mandueke will only go where he is given the chance to play every week. It's why he went to Holland because the path to the first team was clearer and easier. We now have Kulusevski in Mandueke's preferred position so he will only be a squad player here.
And, like Sancho I believe, now not HG due to career choice…

So, you must gauge him against any player in the world… for a unity, knows Spurs, great. But, from our tenuous HG balance, he’s now a big No, as he is Bergwijn like and I want to cash some of that position in to buy a Schick (someone who is a 9 suited to Prem physically).

I think Moura is not a good fit for Conteball and he would flourish elsewhere. He still has several years of top football in him.
I'd sell, keep Stevie, and get Beradi thus having Son, Kulu, Stevie, and Beradi that can all play sideways to Kane.

We should all be discussing wingbacks. They are the most important positions in the modern game and what we have now are just not up to the job. Sess, Reg, Doherty, and Royal are just not good enough. If we are truly going to challenge City, Pool, and Chavs we need backs at the level of Walker, zinchenko, Cancelo, Arnold, Robertson, James, Chilwell.

According to "The Athletic" , Tottenham Hotspur is said to have kept an eye on the 20-year-old left foot. However, the English have several candidates in focus, apparently including new national player Nico Schlotterbeck from SC Freiburg.

It is extremely unlikely that the "Spurs" have a good chance at Gvardiol. The Croatian currently has no reason to change clubs. Things are going well in Leipzig for the youngster, who is developing well and, with his calm style of play, has secured a regular place under coach Domenico Tedesco.

And RB would hardly let his defensive jewel go, even if the "Athletic" report mentions transfer fees of more than 50 million euros. Gvardiol has a long-term contract in Leipzig until 2026, but there should probably be an exit clause.
