Yes to Eriksen no to Bale for me. Injured most of this season again and little or no motivation after the world cup (if Wales qualify). Just dont see him working in Contes system either.

De Vrij would be an excellent signing.
He would be relatively cheap given his age, but would offer an immediate upgrade on Dier in that ‘middle of the back 3’ position which is so crucial to Contes system.
Spend big money then on a Bastoni or Pau Torres for the LCB spot and we immediately have one of the best back 3s in Europe.
So the players linked of late Johnstone, Singo (or Spence), Pau Torres, Tielmans, Eriksen and Lautaro Martinez. Even if its not all those names Its the sort of level we need to be looking at.

Martinez would be the ideal attacking signing though.
He would offer a top class alternative to H at number 9, but he could also easily slot into either of those supporting forward roles occupied by Son and Kulu.
He’s an all round attacker that would completely transform our squad depth up front. If we get rid of one or both of Lucas and Bergwijn, Martinez would be a top class replacement.

Bale should only be a backup for Kane. He hasn't got the legs to play wide in a Conte system.
But he can shoot, hold it up', head it and is still deadly around the box

I appreciate his tenacity and I can see how he could link up with Kane. He might thrive like Kulu, but 70m is too steep an asking price.
He resembles Lo Celso if he was a striker, less of a bitch and better finshing, but far from clinical.
I bet Daniel Levy would be the one being "reluctant" in that deal
If Kane isn't playing; who's gonna provide the creative passing from this rather unique false-10 position that's been carved?
If Martinez can't do that; I'd rather not bother and just have Eriksen on a freebie with Son, Berg, Kulu etc. running beyond him.
Keeping them both is a huge mistake imo. They're much of a muchness, and a major step down from our starting 11. The major thing that both offer is a burst of pace and fresh legs as a substitute deep in the second half. They've also both been here long enough to have had their shot, but neither of them looks anywhere close to competing with Kulusevski for that right-side attacker slot. Better to swap one for someone that would freshen up the squad and hopefully push for a spot.
