Yeah, Lautaro isn't gonna link up with Son like Kane does. If anything I could envision Kulu taking the Kane role and Lautaro taking Kulu's role, but more central close to Son, on the edge of the box, not out wide, delivering crosses. If Kane isn't playing; who's gonna provide the creative passing from this rather unique false-10 position that's been carved?
If Martinez can't do that; I'd rather not bother and just have Eriksen on a freebie with Son, Berg, Kulu etc. running beyond him.
Harsh on Bergwijn?Keeping them both is a huge mistake imo. They're much of a muchness, and a major step down from our starting 11. The major thing that both offer is a burst of pace and fresh legs as a substitute deep in the second half. They've also both been here long enough to have had their shot, but neither of them looks anywhere close to competing with Kulusevski for that right-side attacker slot. Better to swap one for someone that would freshen up the squad and hopefully push for a spot.
I bet Daniel Levy would be the one being "reluctant" in that deal

Then sell Moura. Take your pick. I think it's a coin toss.Harsh on Bergwijn?
He’s been good for us when he’s played this season. Doing great with Netherlands.
And who would we get as a replacement?
Fair; we could sell Moura for Brennan.
I would keep stevie and sell lucas. Feels stevie can do a SonKeeping them both is a huge mistake imo. They're much of a muchness, and a major step down from our starting 11. He was low-key outstanding for us last season.
I would take that, as long as we get 2/3 young hot prospects in at wing back and LCB
I’m a firm believer that that false 10 role that Kane has adapted is something that has just become a natural part of Kanes game as a result of his immense talent, and actually isn’t something that Conte actively coaches/encourages.If Kane isn't playing; who's gonna provide the creative passing from this rather unique false-10 position that's been carved?

Agree. If Kane is staying there is zero need for Lautaro. We can use those funds to upgrade at LCB, find another top CM, improve at WB.Yeah, Lautaro isn't gonna link up with Son like Kane does. AsTomHotspur said, he'd be a great backup for Kane, but play a different role. I don't think he's worth 70m though.
If we are going to try and improve on our front 3, both Nkunku or Lautaro would be clever as they can cover multiple positions.I’m a firm believer that that false 10 role that Kane has adapted is something that has just become a natural part of Kanes game as a result of his immense talent, and actually isn’t something that Conte actively coaches/encourages.
In fact, I’m pretty sure Conte has actually said previously that he would prefer if Kane spent more time up front in a proper ‘number 9’ role.
Lautaro would be a perfect addition as he can play both number 9 if Kane is out (as he does brilliantly for Argentina) or interchanging with Son/Kulu as a “second striker” as he did for Conte at Inter behind Lukaku.

The issue is price; would we have enough left to improve on RWB LWB LCB?
He still knows where the back of the net is, which benefitted us on many an occasion last season.
Personally, if he did come back I think it would only be with the caveat that Wales have qualified the World Cup, and even then I think it could be a short term 6 month contract to see him through it.
I wouldn’t be against it, but I can also understand why people would have their doubts too
