In a game like the weekend, Bentancur and PEH were getting completely outnumbered in midfield. So badly so we had to brink on Winks to steady the ship, at HT we could have brought on Eriksen for Kulu and had three in the middle to counteract that, got the wing backs higher up and fed Son more. That's when you also need a better attacking option off the bench for later on in games so if that also doesn't work you can chuck on another striker.

But then what happens Son/Kulusevski and why is Parafuckface so desperate to sign Zaniolo, plus Conte wanting to sign a second striker to play alongside Kane??

And if you don't know until an hour before the game if we're going to drop Eriksen in there and go 532, you can't just plan to outnumber us in midfield. Especially if you get more dynamism from the wingback.
City apparently wants to flog Gabriel Jesus, I think he would be perfect for us - young, ambitious, can play anywhere on the front, not a wanker type like Grealish, one year left on his contract, decently skilled, he may not be the City starter quality, but he did good enough for them I think.
I'd 100% take him, but he's gonna end up in Spain.

It seems to makes sense for Conte to try and woo any free transfer he'd actually want. Eriksen has looked pretty good lately so yea I think it all makes sense.
I love Gil, Bergwijn, Lucas, and the rest of them all, but would you really put money on them making more of an impact than Eriksen as playmaking LW/RW? I'm pretty certain I'd put mine on Eriksen.
