Every time I've listened to that guy (Jordan), I've been impressed. Straight talker and seems pretty level-headed and unbiased, as far as I can tell.

Nice to hear the media calling out the red-top bullshit about us. But, to be fair, they do do it to most teams at one point or another. Just seems we're an easy target most of the time and/or they side with the usual suspects.

IIRC, Jordan was Palace chairman when we snapped up both Bostock and Routledge. And he was not exactly happy with Levy at the time. So yep, pretty unbiased purely because he can see Levy - good and bad - for what he is.

I’m not as enamoured as some seem to be with him. I think he’s benefitting greatly from not being Moura, which is understandable, 4 years of human pin ball will do that to you.

He’s definitely more composed than Moura, which is a plus, and he’s got some physical heft when it comes to protecting the ball, but Kilusevski only seems to have amble as a speed setting, and doesn’t seem to have the pace or technique to actually dribble past people or, at least, stay past them.

He’s brought something different, but I’m yet to be blown away.
Tough crowd.
He has scored and assisted and shown great skill to get past players on a regular basis.
An absolute no-brainer to buy this kid.
He will get better, too IMO.

Could we have some comp here?

Seems like bullshit tbh.

They have Stones, Laporte and Dias, all of whom are starter quality for most teams. So one of them misses out pretty regularly. They'd have to add to that with Bastoni.

Let's say Bastoni and Dias start, that leaves Stones and Laporte both on the bench, doesn't seem like a happy situation.

Then there's their actual backup CB, Ake.

Some people seem to really rate Paul O'Keefe's "ITK"

he's poo pooed the McGinn interest.

Nice... We need more inter-ITK cunt-offs..... It's simply not on that they leave that to us lot.

Maybe this summer the ITK-game finally steps up.... More mouthy player sibblings getting their licks in would be an added bonus.

Not interested in Dybala at all. There was a time I thought he would be a great signing but give me a player who’s going to play 40+ games a season and doesn’t come with an inflated price tag and wage.

Our CM needs a tough, very fit player with good ball control and distribution. Contes midfields are typically no nonsense type players. Not sure who would be top of my list that fits that role though

Must Purchase:
  • Starting level RWB/LWB. None of Royal, Doherty, Sess, or Reguilon are good enough to start for a top notch Conte team. WBs are so important to the system, need upgrades. Sell two of our current ones, don't really care which of the four go. Should be going all in on this.
Would be nice:
  • LCB. Davies has been super solid, so it's not the end of the world but having a Gvaridol, Bastoni, Torres level player in that position with Ben as rotation would be a big improvement.
  • Dynamic CM. Bentancur, Hojbjerg, and Skipp are all reliable hardworking players who do their job and Conte trusts but having someone with a bit more game breaking talent and skill wouldn't go amiss.
  • Another goalscorer. Doesn't matter where they play across the front 3 really, we just need another player who can bang them so we can rotate Son and Kane a bit more and be prepared in case of injury. We're so reliant on Kane and Son for goals, which is fine if they were always healthy and available but they generally aren't. Kulusevski already a big bonus here, but I think he's more of a creator than goalscorer though he'll chip in with goals.
Mostly feel good about our current first choice 11, except the wingbacks which desperately need improvement. LCB and CM could be improved, but we're in at least an above average spot currently in both positions. As always need rotation/cover for upfront.

We actually have some reasonable attractive players for sale too that could drum up some cash, not our normal dross and deadwood. Very doable list of summer needs if we do wrap up UCL, but nothing is ever easy with Daniel Levy.

Could this blow you away?
