Good point! However, wasn't one of our problems this season also with teams standing way back on their own half? The matches against Burnley comes to mind.
For matches like those, we need something else. I would love if Conte would take teams like that on as Poch did; high press until they break.

Wait... press already tight press even tighter and do the same thing we were doing... just harder?

Sorry but breaking low block was one of the biggest issues with Poch area. I would lean towards different approach - to stretch the game and at times quite opposite - give opposition room, lure them to attack and then hit them fast.

Pressing tight block even tighter is really poor idea.

But in that sense I agree - using 3 CMs would be more useful against strong teams that overplay us in the CM area, rather then against likes of Burnley. Against such teams we could use same tactics but just substitute PEH for Eriksenesque player.

Gone off Emma Watson..

Alexandra Daddario and Hailey Steinfeld.. Now we're talking.

I say yes if Conte wants him. He has so much ability and experience and showed last season that he is neither past it not injured all the time. Same stuff people said before we signed him on loan. He was decent. I’m sure he would be again. He fell out with Real, the club and fans. He hasn’t fallen out with us. Got on well with us.
Real wanted him off the wage bill and he rightly tipped them bollocks and made them pay him. They've frozen him out in a pathetic attempt to get him to leave and made out he's the problem. But I'd bet my arse he'd play if they needed him.

If clubs can't afford to meet the contract they offered players then stop offering them.
To expect a player to take a pay cut from probably half a mil a week to half or less than that is unreasonable.

At the moment, we're not a high-pressing team, and I'm not saying we should be one all the time. However, I think that it would be a good tactic to use sometimes. Especially when teams like Burnley don't have the desire to attack.
Maybe three CMs would work as well, but as I see it that would only add a person to the powerplay situations in front of the penalty box. I think getting the ball high on some teams' half with high press would create cracks in their defence. Cracks their wouldn't be there if the opposition would sit tight and not be lured forward.

I hope Spurs fans have learned and don't get excited on tweets being linked to players.

Please don't post every dick and hary's tweet linking us with players.

I don't read such tweets. It's all hearsay, waste of time, BS and BLX until official announcement.

It's page 305 and counting.

People here will think all those tweets are 100% certainties.
Some will be pure fiction
Some will be truth at the time they're posted but posted far too early
Some will happen

I hear your logic and reason and I must decline your suggestions.

All things point to a wonderful summer of signings and I will hold on to every tweet from all sources that link us to players I dream to be in our line up next season.

Now we are back at the top table I look forward to being linked to with top class A lister players! (For our first team). Gone are the days of unknown foreigners that require google searches, I’m looking forward to name brand players that the woolwich and manure wish they could sign.

So I say dear brothers let us get carried away with the transfer window let our hopes run wild and have a field day as this is our summer to make the step up into the BIG LEAGUE! ANTONIO! ANTONIO!!! ANTONIO! ANTONIO! ANTONIO!!!
