I'm lost, are you suggesting that because Chelsea let these players leave that we should sign anyone they don't want?

It's actually a good sign of progress if we move him on.
Like Royal he is a good player but Conte strives for great players or at least players he thinks he can make great.

I know they won't sell them to Spurs anyway.... but if you look at that list or "rejects" would you be against Spurs snapping them up for bargain buy prices?
I wouldn't (but again I know it's very unlike Chelksi would sell any player to Spurs - unless, of course, Levy paid "silly" money).

I certainly think he's off - whether that is to us obviously remains to be seen. CL football and the Conte factor are massive tho

This summer I think the objectives are twofold :
1. Increase the quality of the squad
2 Increase the numbers in the squad by a couple to get closer to a 25 man squad (currently its more like 22 including players such as Rodon who hardly plays).

So I think more players in than out (from the squad we had from January onwards).

Most of the weaker players in squad moved on

Two, if not three incoming players expected to become 'automatic' first team starters with the strength of our bench increasing dramatically.

With Davies and Dier as backups. Could you even imagine us with a defence like that.

A lot of them were from an era at Chelsea where they signed almost everyone their rivals, us included, wanted. They stockpile players knowing it makes them stronger if their rivals don't have them.

That sort of thing will have to end now because the dirty Russian has gone, FFP is starting to actually acknowledge crooked behaviour and, most importantly, there will be a cap on how many players teams can send out on loan. Even Chelsea can't afford to have £30m players sat around playing Fifa because they have 47 players and a 25 player squad limit.
