My favourite thing about Hercules is how he talks in riddles as to not piss off his imaginary sources, rarely mentions names and has an incredible knack of talking without actually saying anything.

Don't know about Batshuayi, but he was keen on getting Lukaku back then, and then United intervened so Chelsea ended up with Morata, which as you say, Conte didn't rate at all.
I'm a fan of Rice, but even if we did bag him we'd still need a player that brings the Dembele, Bissouma etc. qualities.
Rice is just a more developed Oliver Skipp.
