Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Same pain as Liverpool incoming..... It's already been 9 years since Fergie.
Things change quickly in football, they could easily come back, but they're up against bigger odds than Liverpool now.

Us, City, Chavs are much more established, Newcastle coming in with their oil money too. There's just so much competition at the top end of the table.

Maybe international players going to the world cup are taken into consideration during this transfer window?

Actually, can we field a 'not going to the world cup' XI ? hmmm...

Foster,
Tanganga, Dier, .....
Doherty, Bissouma, Skipp, .....
Moura, Parrott, ...

I think Stevie had far more right to express his feelings and want a move than Eriksen did and many want him back. Huge double standard. Eriksen was playing and wanted a new fucking challenge and wanted to leave. Stevie scores two of the most important goals v Leicester, without which we don’t make CL and goes right back to injury time cameos….if anyone here can put yourself in his position and say they would accept that then I would say you are lying or stupid. Give him his move and not domestically because he will probably come back and haunt the fuck out of us
Not a double standard because I think Eriksen should’ve kept it shut too. All players should regardless of whether they have legitimate reasons to leave.

I feel like there's a huge untapped market of estern European players that's ignored by the latin/west focused football in the top leagues.

All the midtable English clubs should be raiding the likes of Slavia Prague or Dinamo Zagreb, or even the lesser teams in those leagues. Do a bit of proper scouting and buy in bulk, 2-5m a pop, ship out the duds for a modest loss/profit. Better than blowing 30m on fucking Daniel James.
It was a big hit in the 80’s/90’s with the likes of dynamo Kiev/Bucharest/Red Star being European bangers and Romania/Bulgaria/Croatia/Czechia reaching impressive achievements.

But it since cooled down. There are still many gems there but sadly most Eastern European leagues are consumed by corruption and ultras violence. I also think a lot of players in those leagues aren’t acting professionally.

But yeah I always a soft spot for Yugoslavian players

Eriksen was unprofessional on the pitch but he didn't really cause a stink in the media.

Bergwijn has a right express his feelings, but he showed a serious lack of humility, and frankly gratitude towards Spurs. The kid scored 7 goals in his entire time here. Played 60 games!!!

He can bear to be a bit more patient now that he finds himself benched more than he perhaps should have been. It's like if Doherty suddenly started posting crap about wanting to leave for game time.

Edit: what a funny turnaround, spent all this time defending this kid while others insult him, but now I criticise him and suddenly everyone supports him.

I would like to see his minutes played, starts and goals per minute played stats.

You say 60 games but I would say most of those were late late cameos and he still scored some important goals for us. He deserved more and while I agree he should be quiet about it, there comes a point where if that doesn’t work you have to push for a move. Sport is about confidence as well as work and talent and I can’t see how his confidence could be anything but shattered with the way he has been treated. Maybe behind the scenes he is a problem, poor trainer?? I don’t know but from the outside I would say he has a right to feel mistreated.

Here is 21/22

547 minutes played
3 goals
That’s .49 goals per 90

Good for second behind Sonny

And he is still just 24 years old

And what about the Kane debacle last summer??
Same response. Big time should’ve kept it shut. Idiot to do the interview with Sky.

If you want to leave discuss it internally with the club and keep it shut until the deal is done. See Bale to Madrid. Not see Pogba, Kane, etc.

Eriksen didn’t cause a stink but to make the comment right after CL final is so poor.
