you cant call modric skinny with legs like that

Of course he's skinny. Especially when he joined us. Most footballers will have prominent leg muscles (especially when pictured at the right angle when using them..) but he has almost zero muscle on his upper body at all.

It just doesn't mean much. He has excellent balance, technical ability, and a football brain. Gil struggled here because he lacked end product, not because he got bullied by bigger players.

Anyone that has the leg size of Megan Markle is bound to get snapped, once Felix gets put in one of those Brexit tackles by some oaf he'll go crying back to mummy's in Portugal

...I can't work out if that's a slightly narrow minded, jingoistic sentiment against yer 'Carlos Kickaball clichéd foreigner' ...or anti English... or a bit of both!

There's absolutely no point talking abot Jewow (phonetic) Felix. It doesn't matter if he's delicate or not.
Atleti lost Griesman to Bacelona who paid his release clause. Atleti took that phat wedge of money and paid Felix's massive release clause. He wasn't worth it then and he isn't worth it now.
Can you see Atleti taking a massive hit? I can't.
He cost them £113m and signed a SEVEN year deal.

Strength matters. If you lack strength and get pushed off the ball, you need to make up for it with extremely high qualities in other areas. Most players don’t have that.

Skinny also does not equal lacking in strength. Modric has a low center of gravity and is agile enough to get into positions where he can hold off the opposition.

It’s lazy to say every skinny player will get run over in the PL but it’s also lazy to say that it doesn’t matter.

To be a success in England you have to be built like a brick shithouse.

Like the back to back young player of the year award winner Phil Foden.

Slightly unrelated by Foden is so over rated.
That doesn't mean he's a bad player. It just means that the way people talk about him, and the fact he wins these accolades is OTT. He's a decent player, that's about it. Hearing idiot pundits saying "he does things I don't understand" makes me wish they didn't have pundits in football. I don't think he's any more influential than Connor Gallagher or Mason Mount but people don't talk the same way about those two.
