So we currently have £125m plus sales left to spend.

is it unrealistic to think with out potential outgoings that we can push that number up to £250m?

Regulion, Royal, Tanganga, Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn??

3 signed at only £25m so far does make me wonder if we have a few juggernaut signings to come.

One of the SC ITK geniuses said it was Roger Ibanez we're chatting to Roma about not Zainolo.

Normally I wouldn't take it too seriously, but it does make far more sense as Ibanez is young quality LCB and Paratici is publicly confirmed in Italy talking with Roma.

Zanilo is injurys are of concern but Jose still rated Ndombele even when he left and being a slower less physical league, Ndoms could have a much better chance to reignite his career in Italy. I'd happily do a straight swap, even with the injury element.

Important up-date on Lucas Paquetá :D

LYON’S LUCAS PAQUETÁ (24) TO UNDERGO MINOR SURGERY AFTER KITE-FLYING ACCIDENT

According to L’Équipe Lyon’s Lucas Paquetá will need surgery after injuring his finger whilst reportedly flying a kite. The player revealed on social media that “Everything is fine, but to avoid any problems with movement in the future, I’m going to have a small operation tomorrow”.

This is one to add to the category of ‘bizarre but avoidable’ player injuries over the years. The OL midfielder, who is trying to be persuaded by Newcastle to move to the Premier League for the Magpies – also said: “Remember that children’s games also have consequences. I was flying a kite today and cut my finger”. Lyon will start pre-season preparations next week, with Paquetá as it stands joining the team with a hopefully recovered finger.

It is likely the Brazilian international will leave Lyon this summer, having declined to enter contract extension negotiations with OL, with his current deal running until 2025.

If Spurs do buy Raphinha it would most likely spell the end to Gil's career at Spurs. Yes, he often plays as a left-winger but Conte seems to prefer inverted wide forwards. And he's apparently been tested as a LB at Sevilla but I wouldn't want him as LWB at Spurs (unless he's added 10 kilos of muscles over the summer...)
A loan deal for Gil is most probably just done to increase his price for later sales.

It was a hypothetical to illustrate a point. Probably the same was said about Dele circa 2017 and Eriksen circa 2018 and look at how those ended up. Not saying Sonny is in the same category. He's clearly not going to down tools and isn't a 2-3 season wonder either.

But, just for argument's sake, someone offers £100m for Sonny and Conte says "fine, but you'll get me player X and player Y to fill the gap he will leave" we shouldn't knee jerk reject it.

Everyone loves Son and his attitude and personality are unequaled. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that we could become a better team by replacing him.

Again, it's a hypothetical, but hey if you want to pile on, knock yourselves out.
In that case, the deal should be done after the pre-season tour to South Korea :D

Not unrealistic to think we should do it , unrealistic to think we will is how I see it
