That’s my thinking too. It was alluded to that the injection was to fund the club and not explicitly on transfers only.I'd imagine wages forms part of the 'war chest' too, so it all adds up.
We will all want improvements elsewhere but we have already significantly improved.
Jwp isn’t worth that but he is worth that to Southampton…. He’s regularly their best player and they’d struggle to replace him
Rice isn’t worth 150 but again same applies …. He’s almost priceless to them
Both clubs know this and attach an implausible highly inflated price on their player
Winks has nothing like this intrinsic value to THFC so the price becomes realistically market based
Oops! Getting my strikers not matched.
Lenglet has been horrendously bad for Barca, make no mistake about it.Don't listen to the Twitter twaddle. There's a player in Lenglet. He, like Kulusevski, would benefit a lot from a change of environment. He'd be good competition for our backline. Barca has killed his confidence. Saying that, I doubt Paratici is thinking of Lenglet as our starting LCB, unless we are planning on going all out on Hakimi or something extraordinary.
It's just the fact that it's very unsporting (yes it might win you a crucial game, but it takes a certain type of player to do such a thing IMO..and most players wouldn't do this..) and when added to all the other stuff he has done it compounds the overall dislike for the bloke. The biting is one thing (I mean, WTF?), but I don't see what was wrong with the hand save against Ghana. You're at minute 120 and you are preventing a sure goal that would see you eliminated. And it's not that it was without consequences. He was sent off and conceded a penalty. But that's better than letting it go in. At that stage in the game it's a no-brainer and any intelligent player would have done the same. If he had done that against Brazil or Germany or Italy, everyone would have called it genius and called the player that missed the ensuing penalty a choker. But because the opponent was Ghana, with a chance of making history by being the first African side to make it to the semis, people just piled on.
Raphina is the only one that Woolwich have been linked with that would bother me.
The issue for us is that he can't play as a number 9, and Conte's priority is someone who can lead the line when Harry isn't starting. Richarlison on the other hand is by far the best link we've had as a credible Kane back up.
Anyone good in the number 9 role, tends to be a specialist, and unable to play wide. So those guys don't want to come and play second fiddle. Richarlison can get good minutes centrally and wide. We won't do better for a Kane back up.
Kulusevski was horrendous for the first half of the season with Juve. Being in the right frame of mind makes a big difference to a player, especially to a defender.Lenglet has been horrendously bad for Barca, make no mistake about it.
Would explain why Mourinho is interested
Barcelona are such cunts. Absolutely skint and want everyone. That’s called entitlement
