and likely one of Inter's CB's or Martinez after they complete signings of Dybala and Lusaka both on mammoth wages, even after they sell Skriniar to PSG.

Bremer's good but not going to immediately upgrade our first team CB's I suspect - but certainly gives us far better rotation options

He was the Italian league defender of the season, the prior season was Romero. He came above the likes of Bastoni, Skriniar etc. maybe Dier does brilliant and holds him off but at the minimum he is pushing Dier onto new levels of play which is how you build an elite squad with in-depth competition.

The only issue is he is a brick wall CB elite defender not a ball playing LCB which leaves that spot open.

We should focus on Richarlison (he's more in line with our needs) get Spence sorted and then focus on the CB area, I'd like a concerted effort for Pau Torres personally. After that maybe 1-2 squad players but we don't really need a ton more and I'd hope we keep the powder dry after that.

Richarlison is a cunt but a player I love, he is like Diego Costa but who can also play on the wing. My heart prefers Raphinha because he is a lovely player to watch but my head says Richarlison but he would fit like a glove in a Conte team and can cover all attacking roles.

Gold again lamenting some unrealistic Spurs fans over the rate/speed of signings.

Worth reminding people that many PL clubs have yet to make ANY signings this summer, including ManU and Chelsea. My candid assessment of ManU's squad is it needs a lot more work than Spurs does - just looking at their striker options :

Ronaldo - unless every pass goes to Ronaldo he doesn't contribute much these days, goals but no pressing.
Cavani - now getting on, at end of contract unlikely to renew
Rashford - Badly out of form for 2 years for ManU and England
Greenwood - Not allowed into training ground, will he ever play for ManU again ?
Martial - At one time an excellent emerging striker, now hated by ManU fans for lack of effort. Been loaned out but no permanent move found for him
Lingard - Winger at end of contract, wants out
Shoretire - Dane Scarlett's main opposition in England year groups, but missed out of last E squad, just cannot compete with Scarlett's current run of 10 goals in 10 appearances for E u19's, not a great omen for Shoretire or ManU

IMO I don't know how ManU rebuild a forward line from here - other than buying forwards like going out of fashion and dumping all the above ?

Meanwhile Spurs have Kane, Son, Kulusevski and Moura (assuming Bergwijn's on his way) plus youngsters coming through (but probably to young for next season) ...... and its clear we are trying to sign other decent forward options to give us rotation without too much drop off from almost world class forward line. Yet some fans think we are in a bad place and need to do more.

I would hate to be a ManU fan facing a rebuild of our forwards - and they will be looking very enviously at Spurs options even without reinforcements.

Worth watching an interview with Nick Pope on his transfer from Burnley to Newcastle where he talks of the transfer taking 3 weeks (and BTW Bale from Spurs to Madrid took 6 weeks) to appreciate how long transfers usually take to do. We made our 3rd signing just a week ago .......

We get Bremer and Richarlison I am not to going to be too annoyed Woolwich getting Raphinha or City getting Philips.

We can’t sign everyone but Bremer and Richarlison on top of Bissouma and Perisic is some serious business.

United need to sell their forwards and I include Mr Selfish Ronaldo in that. Cannot build a team with those players.

If we don't sign him he's shite , poor man's Stuart Nethercott

If we do sign him he'll be the reincarnation of Nesta & Maldini according to many on here

As opposed to you calling him “a poor man’s Stuart Nethercott”.
I don’t know a huge amount about him but he has 15 caps for France and got a transfer to Barcelona so he must have something?

Wilder:" We got quoted £20-25m for a forward playing in the Championship recently, but we didn’t think that was a fair number. We’re prepared to pay fair numbers, as we always have done, but we’re not going to be silly, and we’re certainly not going to be giving our players away for a fee we don’t think is right."

So Wilder unwittingly quotes the amount they think Spence is worth. I can see this playing out like Berahino and Peace saga.
So basically wilder is saying…We only want to pay fair amounts and we only want to sell for amounts we’re happy with.

Welcome to the free market Wilder. Any more platitudes?
I can’t say I’ve seen much of lenglet, anyone care to fill me in?
Played badly as France lost to Switzerland. At fault for switzerlands opener and hauled off at halftime. I don’t like him at all because of that because I’m an emotional football fan.

As confirmation, link to the paperwork filed at Companies House on Friday 24th although the transaction started at end of May, although only became complete and official on Friday.

You can have Ronaldo in there, you just have to compensate with players who drop back and will also press from the front. He's very useful at the very least as a squad option who is lethal in front of goal and offers an aerial threat .. he tore us apart twice this season.

I'm just not sure him & Fernandes together works.

Ronaldo is basically now Robbie Fowler, a poacher. Problem is he still thinks he is number one boss man, so the team plays through him, he has to play all games and can’t be used at useful moments.

I would take Ronaldo here if he had no ego and accepted being a backup to Kane but he can’t his mind is that he is the club and the club are there for him. Fine when he is the worlds second best player after Messi and banging 40+ goals and creating mayhem, not so fine when he is only useful as a poacher.

He did well against us but the hat trick was probably his best game last season.
