Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can see you're spoiling for a fight. I'm not interested, and I certainly won't enter a battle of wits with an unarmed man. (this is my latest favourite quote btw)

I'll await your humble apology for misinterpreting my mood.

Back to discussing spurs transfers, for me.
I'm not exactly being serious.

As for a battle of wits, just call me Elizabeth Bathory. I don't do battles...I do blood baths.

Yea 100%. But unless I misread the tweet was a 12m euro buy clause right?

His injuries have meant we never saw a proper run of games. And while the little string of games he had last year didn’t set the world on fire, and some were downright poor I’d still like to see him go on loan to see what he can do.
My main concern with him is that I still don’t quite know what his actual position is.

In Spurs youth he always played as a CB - if he played as a full back it was only a couple of matches, and no youth watcher has ever been able to identify any of those matches.

Tanganga is naturally right footed but as his CB partner, Eyoma, was very right footed, Tanganga usually played as LCB, and on that basis was picked to play with first team squad - but he can equally play as RCB, just has less experience playing there.

He has decent speed and engine, and on that basis 'could' play RWB, but his only experience of playing there is with Spurs first team. Even less experience of playing LWB, but having experience of playing LCB probably reason why his Spurs first team debut was as LWB when we were short of fit players who could play there..

This is exactly what I was getting at.
He could, and has played in numerous positions, without having really spent a lot of time in either of them over the course of his limited first team play time.

Memory is a bit vague but I recall not being too impressed with him at RB, defensively he was ok, but struggled going forward. I’d think he’d do worse at RWB than Royal tbh.

So when do we fly to Korea? Tomorrow is it?

Do we still think 3 in?

Spence, Lenglet and another CB?

13th July - First match v South Korea league

Could easily be a flight on Sunday 10 July, but nothing official from club as f - ar as I am aware

Lenglet definitely in based upon social media, Spence 50/50 I'd guess - probably Boro aware of the flight deadline, but if it slips a day or two he could catch a later flight.

None of the target CB's that we know of seem keen on a move, so wait and see during rest of the window.

Yep, mistake duly noted and apology offered.

Where he has played in the first team seems to have simply been where the manager had injuries to other players and played him in that position.

I've seen no sign of any real semblance of a planned development path for him - its not the players fault, but the manager - or if there is one its the old 'play him as full back as less pressure than as a CB' ........ . although playing with 3 CB's it should be a whole lot safer to play Tanganga as none of the 3....

A top center Back and top right back would put us close to title contention. We have the rest of positions on a very good condition. I also would like to see if a young lad like Devine, Gil or Scarlett could contribute this season.
