Can't Richarlison do that mickey?

Yes but he's also covering LWF & ST already so if he's also covering RWF we're only one injury away from trouble. Maddison can cover RWF, offer an option to play behind a front two if we want to switch things up and can also play CM & AML supposedly. That gives us 5 great attacking players and gives us enough strength in depth to navigate a season without too much worry

I still think you miss the substantive point. The Borough is centrally funded as are all local governments. I don't know about you but I have lived there. Haringey has a myriad of issue and the priority has never been( nor should it) the football club. Fans are myopic about the wants and needs of their clubs, to the exclusion of all else

Tory budget cuts and scrapping of everything from Sure Start to the hardship fund meant less had to go further. For many people (some of the poorest demographics in our country ) the regeneration that you fondly speak of was not the panacea you make it out to be. It mean less affordable housing and existing communities being eased out. I think your rather slanted political point scoring was one sided and not the full picture. My Ex was a health visitor in Haringey and so much good work was undone by austerity.

For the record there are still communities deeply un, allocated happy about some of the clubs real estate and land speculation and what 'regeneration' is doing to their area. Its still a luce issue. Please reflect not everyone shares our joy at the shiny stadium. I am conscious of sidetrackimg the forum but feel I have in some way redressed your narrative. I don't as you can tell agree with nearly any of it.

All local councils have some central government funding allocated by complicated formulae, which is additional to local residential council tax payments etc which are kept by each council - Haringey is no different to any other council.

However Haringey was regarded even by most non Haringey labour people as being particularly against any change in due to its particular left wing views - and with that lack of change no housing or other facilities were built and maintenance wasn't that great either all contributing to the causes of the Tottenham riots.

No surprise that the council hadn't liked Spurs proposal to build a stadium - and were not interested in the extra jobs that would generate for locals or other benefits, until the Tottenham riots forced the local council to compromise their views and support re-generation (indeed they had no choice, part of the rioting was against the council plus inevitably government - and it wouldn't have mattered whether it was a Corbyn or Conservative government, the local rioters felt they had not been listed to for years/decades).

I agree we are unlikely to share political views, but at least understand the council's refusal to rebuild the area was one of the root causes for riots. And in turn the council being forced to agree to the stadium rebuild so as to help regenerate the local economy and provide jobs was its only way for it to survive, and its the council who is now driving the regeneration of the local area - so please complain to the council where you don't like its regeneration (although council has carried out a number of consultation stages on its plans already, so Iocals will have had a chance to comment already ).

I don't think there is further point in an exchange of views
