Maddison would be a strange signing. Sure, he found a bit of form towards the end of the season but prior to that he’s only been close to average the past two seasons. Would have thought he’s too much of a luxury player for Conte. There’s more talent in wantaway players like Morgan Gibbs-White (22) and Carney Chukwuemeka (18) with quoted prices in the reign of £20m-£25m. Could probably get both for less than the price of one Maddison and they’re just as HG

It's an odd niche to fill..... I still don't think it's a week in/week out role for us so anyone signing would need to be comfortable with being just an 'option'.

Bastoni will have only one year left on contract next summer. Agree that's when we are very likely to sign one or more permanent CB's.
With Lenglet on loan we have enough CB cover, but if a top CB becomes available this window every chance we will buy, But that depends on availability as we are not desperate.

Problem was I couldn't always distinguish between players signed for first team and those signed for development sometimes. But 'Funtime Fridays' was a great innovation

I thought maybe it was Ally Gold said after Spence we wanted an AM and one more CB. That would indicate Tanganga and one of Rodon or Sanchez out the door.
No most of it isn't financed, a lot of if was, i think i read somewhere about 70% (someone maybe able to clarify this). The initial costs for land, paying off residents and businesses, and early build costs were paid by the club. You can find that in the accounts y.o.y during the build period.....

Maddison is a great attacking player. Similar to Eriksen but younger and hungry. He’s the kind of no shts given signing a big club makes. Two footed which we need. Could player either wide forward spot or slot in as a 10 if we adjust formation. Not sure about price but he’d be a killer luxury signing imo. Real quality on the ball which you can never have too many of.
