Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They sold their future TV right I believe in tranches or something worth hundreds of millions, they are still buggered down the line though like a gambler who just re-mortgaged his house it will hit them one day.
They did indeed.

10% last and a further 15% going out the door at some point soon. Roughly 200-250m EUR for each deal.

They also got a big sum from Spotify for 280m EUR.

Lets say that's close to or just over 500m EUR. A big injection.

It's still insane that they are so heavily protected by the govt and La Liga, but them and Real Madrid are their only real products.

Will be fascinating to see what happens when the Barca board really do f*ck it right up.

I'm not looking for an argument here, just saying, the WHO states that there isn't sufficient evidence to say this for certain, this is their take on it:

"Research is ongoing to understand the extent to which being vaccinated stops you from becoming infected and passing the virus on to others. More data is needed to know the extent of this protection. There is still a chance you could pass the virus on."

You would like to think they know a bit about it considering their work over the last few years too.

The number of cases being reported at present also suggest that either it doesn't do much to prevent the spread, or all of a sudden there are tons of non-vaxxed people, the distinct lack of fear mongering death stats you see of late also suggest that the current strain isn't much to be worried about either.

From that, I'm merely questioning whether it is worth ruling out a signing purely based on whether they are up to date on their Covid jab.
That WHO quote does not make the claim that vaccines do not stop you from being infected. It says more research is required on the extent to which vaccines afford protection. It does assume that some protection is given (« this protection »).

What is clear is that a group of vaccinated people will see lower rates of infection than a group of unvaccinated people. Requiring vaccination as a club will ensure fewer games missed from Covid absences because fewer people will become infected and they will be less badly affected so the average number of games missed will decrease. It also reduces the number of issues around international travel.

Requiring vaccination is a rational policy to mitigate the effects of Covid.

Apparently after having both ACL’s reconstructed, I’ve seen comments that suggest they could actually be stronger than before

the graft is initially stronger, but becomes weaker over time until its becomes about as strong as the original ACL.

There are load tests & many other test done to support the conclusion that the person/Zaniolo will have no problems in the future.

The human body and medical science ey, you cant beat 'em.

Isn’t Zaniolo a massive sick note?

If we’re after a mercurial, injury prone boy band member, shouldn’t we just take Dybala?

ACL in 2020/2021

That all said, and i have only seen him in three games last season, he is quick, good on the ball and ca thread a pass under pressure.

Over Madison no, but for sure would be a good addition to the squad.

I didn't claim it did, but the notion that it does a significant amount to reduce spread isn't cast iron as some seem to think, which means that even with only vaccinated players there is every chance one gets it, causes an outbreak and matches are missed.

In which case, I just find it questionable how much benefit there is to only signing vaccinated players, and potentially not signing a player that could make a difference on the pitch.

Ultimately it's a question of weighing up "maybe" fewer games missed vs "maybe" missing out on a good quality player, so pure speculation for now.

I can guarantee it's more admin (try flying over to the US right now) than true health benefit at this point. From a certain point of view, I understand the club's logic (and I stress the term logic rather than ethics) in that with regards to incomings, but would be very interested to know what the status of a player would be if they were already a squad member and didn't want it. Would they try to sell them or simply have them stay at home if travelling to a destination with jab requirements came up.
Thanks for responding to the actual intent of my post rather than going off on one trying to paint me as an antivaxx loon.

Good insight (1hr)

He'd be really fun to watch... but really not sure about this one. His output isn't all that. We still lack a good passing/shooting midfielder. Our homegrown situation is a mess. Zaniolo's injury history is no joke.

Maddison seems worth the little extra. Unless we're getting Zaniolo for like 30/40m.

If we sign Maddison i will run down Tottenham High Road naked with a turnip inserted up my jacksie.

I'm assuming that the club is taking this approach to minimise "lost time" though rather than for altruistic reasons, although I'm also assuming that this policy was in place before Forster/Bissouma and not a reaction to it.

Point 2 I think is pretty much debunked now isn't it?

This forum is great- when we talk about football. It's fucking awful when we talk about political stuff. I really hope we can keep the non-football shit away from the football stuff.

It's pretty clear there is still a huge divide over "COVID medicine". I'd like to suggest for the sake of the forum we leave COVID debate out of the football sections. I'd like to think this also includes shouting down others for differences of scientific opinion.
