Our MF 2 will be outnumbered much of the time..... Unless our 2 can trump the numbers game and the oppo's hard press by means of sheer ability, then logcally we will struggle to dominate MF proceedings.
Both him and Adama are crap and in no way improves our squad. Why the fick do we not just keep Gil. I”d rather we kept berg than bring any of these two. Absolute idiotic transfer logic and whoever is behind this needs shooting. Nether of these two actually start for their clubs and we want them to add quality strength in depth. Amazing!
Valuing Conte’s judgment, but not following it blindly.Your opinion on James has no bearing on what I've been talking about. (I've not questioned it, nor am I keen on the idea myself.)
Again, I was responding to the concept of a manager's judgement being fallible and how one approaches that on a practical basis......
Surely you trust the guy until bad decisions give you reason not too?
If not, what approach DO you suggest?

No harm in keeping him till January, it gives him time to learn Conte's system, gives Conte time to see what he's about, could be useful next season.I really hope we aren’t deciding how Sarr should spend the next half season of his development based upon an injury impacting 1-2 games that he will probably play 0 minutes in.
If the only reason we're buying him is because he's cheap then we shouldn't be buying him at all.
I thought we'd finally moved on from that shite.
Again, I wouldn't say bossed. Unless we have very definitions of bossed. They didn't do anything. They probably had more of the ball than us but they didn't boss shit.
Chelsea bossed us. Completely bossed us. Until we switched things up half way into the second half.
Nothing in that Wolves game worried me one bit. Chelsea game did. They found a way to nullify us that I've not seen any team do before or since under Conte. And we still managed to come out of it with a point and two goals.
This teams different gravy.

Eh my point is more the decision should not be at all based upon Bentancurs injury. No harm in keeping him till January, it gives him time to learn Conte's system, gives Conte time to see what he's about, could be useful next season.
Outnumbered in the basic sense that opponents just prefer playing 3 vs 2. Which is clearly not too much of a worry when Conte keeps playing it and our midfield players keep getting plaudits.
In terms of being bossed in midfield. Yet to see it from any team bar Chelsea. And that's because they were 4 vs 2 most of the time. A tactic that most teams won't brave against us because of our deadly attack.
I'm sure people see opponents with more possession than us and correlate that to domination.
Was it embarrassing to fall down in public over a random transfer rumour?Just fell to my knees in Tesco. We’re really going to sign Traore or James as a UCL club in 2022
Sarr is a free pass for the EPL. Why take the risk of going a few games with untested White or coming back from injury Skipp as back up? Could break our season. No harm in keeping him till January, it gives him time to learn Conte's system, gives Conte time to see what he's about, could be useful next season.
Valuing Conte’s judgment, but not following it blindly.
So if I’m initially uncertain on a player (ie Rich), Conte’s approval would mean I’m behind him.
If I’ve barely watched a Serie A player, Conte’s approval would mean I’m behind him.
But if he green lights a transfer for a player whose performances I’ve watched a lot and clearly isn’t good enough, such as Dan James, I wouldn’t trust Conte on it.
Funny how we're all suddenly getting stalkers and moist fannies again over mediocre dross.......just because they could be free transfers and contract dwindling bargain buckets.Ross Barkley was released by Chelsea. Worth looking at on a free, there is a player in there.
A real shame that after a most un- Tottenham like positive start to the window it looks like just fizzling out and almost left hoping that nothing else happens and we keep Gil, given the alternatives. Still think we're a couple of good first team level players shy of any sort of sustained challenge.
They bossed it by controlling the flow of the game & completely limiting our ability to get on the ball and do .. well, anything. That first half we couldn't even launch a counter, they killed us. Just passed it round us in midfield & pressed us out of the game. We were so damn passive. Luckily they had no focal point & we're good at limiting chances, but we were being dominated.
Second half we improved but still .. very little chance creation & we got away with a well worked set piece which Wolves defended badly.
Perhaps some might, but that's not what I'm doing.....
We struggled in MF and lost against Brighton last season... We dropped 5 points vs Saints last season for similar reasons.... Wolves gave us a torrid time at WHL last season too (although their goals were gifts). Even if it isn't a weekly occurrence, it's not exclusive to us facing the Chavs or similarly top quality players.
