You have to look at the funny side of thingsThere's a tiny part of me that wants us to sign Dan James too. Just to see the comedy of the mental gymnastics unfold on here.
Thursday morning: General consensus. He's fucking shite and an absolutely embarrassing transfer target.
Friday morning: Maybe he ain't so bad. Perhaps Antonio can polish him up
Friday night: Could be a decent buy actually. Especially considering what we paid.
Saturday morning. Great bit of business. Did well to beat off our rivals. Could be the missing piece of the Conte puzzle.
Saturday night. 10/10 signing. 10/10 window. Anyone saying otherwise must be a gooner cunt and don't support Spurs. All Hail "Don" Levy for giving us Dan James!

he is van dijk level how much did liverpool take punting on him
skriniar is already world class
Ighalo would have been a much better signing for us at that time than Dan James is now.
The amount of money in the Prem is absolutely obscene right now. Between Chelsea, City, Pool, Utd, Newcastle, Woolwich, and dang, even Forest- that's like 7 other clubs absolutely blowing out their transfer budgets this year. Surely it can't be sustainable? So we signed Lenglet on loan and Chelsea sign Fofana and Koulibaly and possibly Gvardiol next year. Absolute piss take. Levy has proven this summer that there was no intention in competing in the future because we are not willing to sign the players we need to compete. The £150m was meant to boost our spending and enable us to do deals not just sign a fee players.

No they are doing it because teams in other leagues are broke. These may be low in terms of transfer fees going forwardThe amount of money in the Prem is absolutely obscene right now. I saw it so often. This was not a rare take. Loads of posters who pride themselves on being rational & calm were saying it was right we didn't spend big on a CB as the options were not available, same as with right back.
Well one is definitively not happening now & waiting around for a player who really doesn't seem remotely interested in leaving Inter Milan doesn't really scream top tier strategy.

he was too much money, dan james is more viableThey have ambition we don’t.
